The staff from our arrival, we're professional, courteous and eager to pass on local knowledge, and happy to converse in German or English. Thanks for you hospitality it was very - Hotel was walking distance to most of the sights. Once you find the hotel it is easy to find your way back. The difficulty was by car locating the hotel and how to drive there. The entrance is not on a main road but on a tiny 1-way street that runs between 2 main roads. A friend who grew up in Berlin was driving me and we circled a few times before spotting the entrance to the hotel. I'm sure a taxi driver would have no trouble locating it. Lots of shops nearby as well as a train station.

  Easy to walk to from the Berlin Hauptbahnhof (about 20 mins walk). The room was clean and uncluttered in an appealing minimalist style. We've been to Berlin a number of times and with the standard of public transport, most central locations will be ideal for discovering the city - the same applies to the Generator. The shower is excellent, - I stayed at the dorm room this time, and it was one of the cleanest dorm with most comfy bunk bed I've ever experienced. The 6 bed female dorm was cute and funtional; each bed has its own power socket, head lamp, huge drawer. The power shower was great too. The wifi was free with great signal up to my room. I'm not a dorm-room fan, but I definately recommend this dorm for anyone who does. The location is very close to most of attraction and metro. Supermarket, McD, KFC were a little bit far
