We chose this hotel both for location and price for a long, Xmas market weekend. On arrival, we were informed that our room rate (c€75/night) was inclusive of breakfast, soft drinks and hot drinks, which was a real bonus. Breakfast selection is fabulous, ranging from the usual cold buffet, cereals etc but also omelets made to order, bacon, sausages etc. Location is ideal for sightseeing by foot - Gestapo HQ, Berlin Wall etc only 10 minutes away, but of course you can also hop on/hop off the sig

Excellent location on a quiet side street yet close enough to walk out to restaurants and shops. Subway just around the corner, parking lot with reasonable rates within half a block. Superbly efficient, rapid and courteous check in despite many guests ariving at same time. Many De Luxe hotels could learn from Mercure's staff and their work systems. The apartment was great! We were a group of 9 girls in our late 20s & there was plenty of room for us all. Only 2 bathrooms so was hectic when all trying to shower but we made it work!

Great location near the underground, close by to supermarkets and good cafes and checkpoint charlie.
Very spacious and comfortable, bedrooms downstairs gave us freedom to enjoy ourselves in lounge without worrying our footsteps would be making noise for neighbours. Balcony as well and a very quiet area, no problems sleeping at all.
Would definitely stay again.

The location of the hotel, which is right beside Check Point Charley, and represents a perfect starting point for an historical and cultural sightseeing! Moreover, the confort of the room: my wife and I had read several negative reports about a supposed "glass wall" in the room, between the toilette and the bedroom, but that turned out in-existent. Maybe the problem had been satisfactorily solved!

There is a shopping centre 20 meters from the front door that has 2 supermarkets in the basement. There must be at least 30 restuarants witin walking distance as well as the sony centre.
