  We chose Villa Verde for one night stay since this B&B was fairly close to the hotel we stayed on the previous night. Although we need to take a bus to get to the old city, we could reach here by one bus or taxi (~10 eur). Staff were very friendly with great English and rooms were cozy and clean. The location was superb (1-1/2km to train station and walking distance to old town Salzburg), the street (Linzergasse) was pretty and vibrant, the hotel was clean and very comfortable, and the service was excellent! If you love to stick your head out the window and see what's going on in the street below, ask for a room facing the front (fun!). There are also lovely quiet rooms facing the back. The manager was extremely helpful with advice and suggestions
