This is the real Hawaii! Our children visited on the lanai and cracked fresh macadamia nuts. In the morning we drank rich Kona coffee, from the local landscape and delighted in sharing adventures and insiders knowledge over a perfect breakfast. Easy location to beaches, restaraunts, and sunny Kona weather. Kurt's family home surpasses any destination hotel or resort. We longed for it after moving on to other parts of the island. 5 stars.,.
- very friendly and accommodating staff, they showed us the plantation with mac nut trees, coffee, papaya, sapote, banana, pineapple, etc. and supposedly some lychee ;)
- our Crows Nest room had private lanai with very nice views
- very nice breakfast with fruit, pancakes, omelet etc.
- available beach / snorkel gear.
Great hospitality, excellent fresh produce. Enjoyed my time here very much, especially singing along with Amber playing the ukelele, I think the other guests appreciated that too! Very unique experience thanks so much for the great memories of Big Island Hawaii :).
We liked everything. We travel a lot around the world and this was definitely one of the best places we have stayed. The room was spacious and comfortable, the view fabulous, the breakfasts great and our host incredibly helpful and hospitable.
Amber and Satomi (the 2 persons in charge of the B&B) were very
friendly, helpful and made our stay more than perfect. Everything in the
room (crows nest) was perfect. With fantastic views of the surroundings.
Overall Rating: 10+.
My stay here was just amazing. I came to hawaii to take a few days from my work and family and to rediscover myself and edge of the world had the perfect setting. Close to everything and it is just perfect.
Hosts could not be more helpful to make sure we got the most from both the B&B & the surrounding area. Great suggestions & what to avoid. Breakfast quirky & cool.
Kurt and his family were really helpful, they gave us a lot of useful tipps and equipments. And the breakfeast was also very good.
The view from the room was the best :).
A room with a view. Out in the green, in the middle of nature. Every morning a short briefing with Kurt about the days plan with helpful tips.
Healthy good breakfast
Very nice and helpful host.
Fenomenal view.
Surroundings.
- we felt like home there
- Kurt, Kanae & Jenna are awesome people.
Good location, magnificent views and great hosts.
Wish I would plannedhave stayed longer at The Edge.
not really negatives:
- a bit tricky to arrive, but they provide ample instructions beforehand via e-mail, and put some makeshift signs pointing to the b&b, so it's not that complicated
- it's a bit long way to the best beaches the big island has to offer, but the views, the quiet, the nature may complement this. (anyway a car is a must).
N/a.
Nothing.
None.
Nothing to complain!.
A bit dificoult access to the hosts house.
A bit too small breakfast.
- we stayed just 4 days, not enough :(.
