Stayed two nights for a family wedding at the castle. The staff were friendly and very kind and helpful. The hotel is in keeping with the age and character of the building, but the showers/bathroom were very clean and modern. Rooms were spacious and the 'full English' breakfast was tasty.I would certainly recommend the Hornblower for anyone visiti

Stayed one night at the end of walking the Viking Way. We were in the stable block out the back of the main hotel. The room was spacious, quiet and clean, if a little aged. The hotel, bar and restaurant staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful. Ate in the hotel restaurant and the quality was excellent, with very reasonable prices. Breakfast was cooked to order.
