  I have stayed there many times, starting in the mid 1970'S. It became a luxury hotel after that, and this is the first time I stayed in the more modern era. In general, I liked everything, but especially the staff. I feel they gave outstanding service. I arrived without a wallet and no money to pay the cab. The hotel staff graciously paid the cab ... o que as pessoas dizem » and put it on my bill, even though I had not yet registered. (My wallet had been temporarily lost.) - The hotel was charming and inviting. The location was perfect for us. I was traveling with my daughter visiting another child that is taking a gap year and is in the Oxford Tutorial College. she was able to get to us and we got around the town wonderfully. The staff were all helpful and informative. The environment was cozy and warm which was greatly appreciated because the weather was chilly and wet. Would definitely recommend to others.

  The Thai restaurant food was great and they also have great cocktails - It's just The Crazy Bear and you have to visit! Quirky, two great restaurants to choose from, extensive cocktail and wine list and lovely cosy fire. Proper country feel to it.
