A minimalist heaven, everything was superb and the restaurant food was fantastic, compliments to the chef. The breakfast in the room option (no charge) was just great and it was a wonderful breakfast too. - Excellent dinner. Staff very attentive.

Beautiful, quiet location high above the town of Shanklin, but only a5min walk to the middle of town and great restaurants. Hotel was clean,well presented, staff were very welcomming, helpful and a greatselection for breakfast. absolutely worthy, the owner of the place is lovely, i really felt at home at oaklands... if you're planning to go to the island, this is the place to stay, best quality for money - nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors - they even ordered good weather for our stay!!! The small fridge in our room was an excellent idea.

Everything about the stay was brilliant! The lady who greeted us on arrival (I think this is the owner) was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautiful - even down to the furniture in the lounge. We overslept and missed breakfast, (which we was gutted about) so I can't comment on that... We will defiantely be returning when on future

Exactly what I was looking for, it was in a great location. My room had a great view of the harbor, the staff was very friendly and they made it easy for me to check in as soon as I arrived even though the staff wasn't on site at the time. I room was big with large ensuite bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

I cannot praise the Fernbank enough. The owner could not have been more helpful or hospitable. The hotel is beautifully decorated cared for. The public areas were very relaxing to sit in. The room I stayed in was spotless and very comfortable.

The staff were excellent and made you feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. The Hotel was furnished well and very comfortable, lovely gardens to relax in if the weather was good and a very nice heated indoor pool. Breakfast was excellent with a big choice and plenty of it. The Fernbank delivers a high quality of service and comfort and we would certainly go back.
