The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We were upgraded to the Penthouse suite as a result of our forthcoming wedding. This was an amazing suite and we were made to feel like Royalty. Breakfast the following day was well worth getting up for and again the staff couldn't do enough for us. - Anonymous

The staff we very helpful and made sure we had everything we asked for. Thye were pleasant, polite and helpful. This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the railway station and two minutes from the centre of Manchester and you will go through or past canal street on the way - Anonymous

we got upgraded to a suite due to the comtemperary rooms being overbooked. the room was beautiful, the size of an apartment and the staff couldnt have been more apologetic. it was comfy, clean, warm, and road noise was minimal considering how busy it was. i love this hotel! ive stayed in the palace in a standard room before, and it was excellent! i would not let bad reviews put you off. - Leanne

Great room, perfect crash pad for a weekend away with brand new facilities. The Light is very central within 5 minute walk of all shops and close to Printworks, Deansgate and Piccadilly Gardens for nights out and despite its central location, suprisingly quiet. Could do with a discount off the parking thou, £14 per car for the NCP overnight and we had two cars. - Guy

I arrived early Saturday morning (circa 10.30) and my room was available immediately. The studio was very well designed and extremely quiet (opposite the NCP car park) and I had one best night's sleep ever. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. I would stay there again! This hotel was excellent value for money and the location couldnt have been better its right beside the main shopping street with loads of cafes and bars nearby. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful at all times. - Ann

We stayed in a Premier room which had the most comfortable and huge bed I have ever slept in. The room was very clean and modern and the bathroom was tastefully decorated. The Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to park straight outside the entrance (Saturday evening to Sunday pm) for free. Great Hotel. - Anonymous
