We stayed in one of the cottages which are of a very high standard. Decoration is attactive and there are some lovely touches; comfortable and stylish.
Staff were helpful, responsive and kindly - without being intrusive. We were travelling with my elderly mother and aunt and the team at La Place made everything very easy for us.

Fantastic stay at Hotel La Place, the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We were picked up from the airport and upon arrival out bags and check in were taken care of while we enjoyed complimentary champagne in the bar! We were even lucky enough to have a free room upgrade to the newly refurbished Deluxe room which was beautiful.

What is there not to like? The staff are simply brilliant - it's really nice to be recognised and addressed by name. We had a great room with a sea view. The bars are very good as are the restaurants and yes you really must try the Governors Indian cuisine at its best!!

Excellent facilities, great service and good food. A good selection of places to eat and drink and nice outdoor seating areas as well as a pool. Very much a luxury hotel which we could not fault, except for the location which was our choice.

The hotel was more like a 5 star and the staff so friendly, they all made us feel so welcome.The breakfasts on the terrace were lovely. We only ate out two nights out of 9 and the hotel food was far superior. Olga was an absolute treasure, she looked after us so well, I would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel in a fantastic bay location. We had a lovely sea view room which had a shared balcony overlooking the beach.

A great spot for basing yourself if you want to explore the jersey coastline, the staff were fantastic and really made us feel at home, many locals use the public bar and they are a great bunch, up for a laugh and generally quite tame. The food was excellent, we were trapped there by blizzards for three extra days while the airport was closed and the hotel made every effort to lessen the impact by allowing us free use of their laundry facilities etc. And it has the best duke box in the bar ever

We took our dog & she was very welcomed. We were able to take her into the bar & restaurant. The staff are all very good & so was the food. There was a lot of it! It was really good value for money a little dated, but I think that's what keeps the price down 10 out of 10!

Everything !! Only went for a night but we had a lovely time. Lunch in the Mermaid, a walk around the island, dinner in the hotel. The food was excellent.A very comfortable bed. Next morning a lovely breakfast and a rummage in the shops.......a perfect evening away. We'll be back.
