  Located in a lovely valley with beautiful gardens. The catering options were second to none - breakfast exceptional; dinner and bar snacks excelent value. Could not fault the staff, who were friendly and helpful. The room and bed were very comfortable and well appointed. We would definately not stay anywhere else on Guernsey, the whole ambience of the hotel was so relaxin - The hotel is in a truly stunning setting, looking out over a wooded gully, to the sea. Service was good, as was the food at both restaurants - it's well worth a trip to the Rock Garden for a few cocktails, too! Possibly the best hotel we've stayed at in Guernsey. Potential bookers should note that this is NOT in St Peter Port town but a rural location in the parish.

Contemporary airy room, superb service, the best breakfast I've ever eaten at a hotel, anything one can ask for :-) Location is brilliant - very close to the harbor, Elizabeth castle and the Jersey eye, 5 min to the city centre.   We stayed in one of the cottages which are of a very high standard. Decoration is attactive and there are some lovely touches; comfortable and stylish. Staff were helpful, responsive and kindly - without being intrusive. We were travelling with my elderly mother and aunt and the team at La Place made everything very easy for us. I travel a lot and I'm afraid I can be quite picky but have no hesitation in recomm - Fantastic stay at Hotel La Place, the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We were picked up from the airport and upon arrival out bags and check in were taken care of while we enjoyed complimentary champagne in the bar! We were even lucky enough to have a free room upgrade to the newly refurbished Deluxe room which was beautiful.

  Everything about this hotel was faultless. The staff went out off their way to make our stay enjoyable.Food excellent, all the staff made us laugh. Really felt at home if this hotel could be faulted i would be very surprised, everyone seemed to be treated as individuals and catered for as required.   Great hotel in a fantastic bay location. We had a lovely sea view room which had a shared balcony overlooking the beach. The rooms are fine - plenty of storage space for a long holiday. Breakfast was excellent - wide selection of cereals, fruit etc on the buffet and an excellent hot breakfast - cooked to order and all served nice and hot. The hotel has a great reputation for it's food - an extensive fish and seafood menu a - A great spot for basing yourself if you want to explore the jersey coastline, the staff were fantastic and really made us feel at home, many locals use the public bar and they are a great bunch, up for a laugh and generally quite tame. The food was excellent, we were trapped there by blizzards for three extra days while the airport was closed and the hotel made every effort to lessen the impact by allowing us free use of their laundry facilities etc. And it has the best duke box in the bar ever

  I booked this hotel on reading the reviews of other customers, and I was not disapointed. It was a very well run and friendly hotel, both management and staff went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely holiday, the food was suberb and good value for money,I don;t know how anyone can be unhappy with the breakfast as everything was on offer. ... o que as pessoas dizem » We ate our evening meals in the hotel and in four nights each meal was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. My mum is 77 and the walk into - The location of this hotel was ideal for us, it was quiet and only 10 min walk down to the main shopping area. The room was larger than i was expecting as we only booked the standard. It was very comfortable place to stay. We did not use the restaurant, but if the breakfast is anything to go by, then it would be well worth it, we were out and about most of the day and tended to eat where we were.

They were really helpful about what to see and the best way of getting there. Breakfasts were - David and Jane were probably the friendliest and nicest B&B owners I've ever met. Had a nice long chat, they offered a glass of wine and they were very interesting people. The room was also very nice and clean. They really helped make my stay in Guernsey memorable and enjoyable.

The manager Craig was helpful and attentive and nothing was too much trouble and kindly upgraded us to a superior room on arrival. The ensuite was equally well appointed with a separate bath and shower (although we found the sh - La Haule Manor is impressive on first view. The manager could not do more for us & was extremely helpful whenever we had questions. He was there when my suitcase lock jammed, when another guest had tyre problems on his car & when a guest had a door lock stuck on her in the bathroom at midnight. Although only B&B that
