We like our stay at Geckos Rest,from the moment we got no the car
park,John was there to help with luggage.They explain where best to go
and the place they enjoy dinning.They lend us an iron which was not in
the package and even save us from having take away on my wife birthday
after she lost a button from the middle of her dress.Well done to Amy
for doing her research because she had a sewing kit ready with every
colour thread to fix this button and any other mending issues.The room

Genuinely the best guest house we've ever stayed in. Excellent location, easy walk to newquay centre, fistral beach or other beaches. Accommodation is modern, very clean and lacks nothing. Breakfast was to the standard of any five star hotel that we've stayed in. The owners are very pleasant and cannot do enough to please. Even our teens enjoyed it here, the modern living room has Wii and Xbox , its all just very well thought out. We will be booking again. The rooms with sea views are worth a s.

Great welcome and hospitality from Amy and John. Fab breakfast with plenty of options but the mini Monte was enough for me thanks. Double up if you've got a large appetite ! Very comfortable bed, great room with a really nice view and good facilities. Absolutely spotless throughout to be fair . Geckos Rest will be a tough one for any to beat. Thanks for a great stay. Hope to return.
This was a lovely hotel run by lovely people. Amy and John were so friendly and welcoming, it really made such a difference to our trip. The room and whole hotel was very very clean with the towels and bedding smelling of fresh washing. We would highly recommend Geckos Rest to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Newquay. We would definitely stay here again.
On our two week road trip around England this was by far our favourite destination and best accommodation. The room was recently renovated and beautiful, the breakfast every day was freshly cooked to order and John and Amy's service was above and beyond expectations. We will be recommending friends to stay and will definitely return when next in the UK.
We couldn't fault a single thing about Gecko's Rest. We had a superior room on the top floor with brilliant sea views. The finish to the room was more like a hotel than a B&B. Food was fantastic and Amy & John were great hosts. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit Newquay. Wishing John & Amy all the best. Lee & Jayne.
The owners where extremely helpful and very nice, double room was very nice all modern decor with wifi. Would def recommend and would stop again on our next visit. Loved the place, local for site seeing etc. We even revieved a text to say our room was ready 2 hours before we arrived, what a great service. Had 3 nights, we should have booked the week.
The couple who run this B&B have got everything right - the beds were comfy, the room was decorated to a high standard, the sea view was stunning, the breakfast was perfect (probably the best veggie fry-up in England!) And the couple were very welcoming and helpful. We shall definitely be back and have already recommended to our friends.
Amy and John were great hosts and couldn't have done anything more for us than what they did. The breakfasts really filled you up for the whole day and the room had a lovely sea view for us to wake up too. We would highly recommend Gecko's Rest and when back in Newquay we would stay again.
We had a supierior double with a wonderful sea view.Hosts,John and Amy are superb and Amys full english was the best we have had in any hotel or guest house.The room was spotless and we had clean towels and freshend drinks tray each day.Superb place.Will definately go back.
We had a lovely room overlooking the sea. Hosts were helpful and friendly. We pre-booked parking at the back of the B&B, which was very convenient. Could walk down the steps to the township. Could not fault this place, good value for money.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was well equipt and clean and there was always piping hot water available. The food at breakfast was good and they did their best to accomodate any variations in requirements.

Amy and John were very friendly, you can reach the hotel also by train and by bus (!), there are rooms with an excellent view on the sea, bus connections to famous places of interest; near to the coast-path;.

The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the full English was well cooked and presented.

The location was not wonderful - but the Guest House was such good value it would be fine to travel out from all around Cornwall.

It took a long time for the hot water I.e. shower. To heat up. The toilet area could be a little bit more sound proof. The cooked breakfast was of poor quality.
Breakfast only served between 815 and 915.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
Shower room a bit neat if you are on a bit bigger, perfect if you are "normal" size.
