These family-run studio apartments overlook peaceful farmland, 20 minutes’ drive from Newcastle. A luxury separate stable conversion offers guests a kitchenette, private garden, separate entrance and free private parking.
Chapel House’s stable apartment is set in its own courtyard and retains many of the original characteristics of the original stable, with plenty of rustic wood and brick visible.
Guests in the stable have an open lounge/dining area, and a private shower room, with linen and towels all provided. A private garden has a barbecue for the warmer months.
Each studio apartment is set in the converted Methodist Chapel and includes a fully equipped kitchen allowing self-catering, a dining area and a shower room.
Located on a quiet country lane, Chapel House enjoys beautiful views just a 5-minute drive from Beamish Open Air Museum. The local bus stop is 30 metres away. A 9-hole golf course is located only 250 metres from the property.

A very spacious apartment. Extremely large bedroom and living area. Fully equipped kitchen. Décor was a little dated but not unpleasant. Extremely courteous owners. Its location overlooking a field was breathtaking in the early mornings. Very close to Tanfield Railway Museum, Causey Arch and the Beamish Museum.
The landlord was very nice and helpful, the apartment was clean and spacious, it was in a lovely countryside location yet not too far from a shopping centre, if I came again I would book here x. todos opiniões »
great location for various attractions in county durham and northumberland. well deigned room with everything needed for a long weekend break in a peaceful setting.
Great view of the countryside from the window Had all facilities wanted
and was lovely and clean Left all cutlery and dish-ware available Very
friendly staff.
Fabulous place. Everything!.
We prefer self catering and we chose the location. It was advertised as stable block. it is converted garages , with three rooms. the bedroom was roomy the living room a bit cramped and the bathroom adequate. We were expecting a more substantial possibly historic building which had been converted. the experience was that it was just OK. .
Good location and very quiet.
Beds were very comfortable.
Steps up into the shower.
could be better signposted as the approoach road is little more than a farm track.
Left no milk, sugar, salt or pepper The heating would not work Bit of a
walk from towns for having to buy the milk etc.
Nothing!.
we did use the oven as the roasting pan was greasy and the grill still unwashed from last time. the fridge door caught the cupboard it was in every time it was opened
there is no wifi in the apartment though this was advertised. in order to get online we had to go and sit on the picnic table up the hill near the other apartments in the converted chapel building. The pedal on the bin was broken so one had to lift the lid to use the bin-not hygienic.
Difficult to find.
Not very well equipped: only 2 of everything for cutlery and crockery meant we had to wash everything up after each meal, which didn't suit the holiday mood, and visitors had to bring their own. Some of the cutlery was dirty when we arrived. The cooker was inadequate.
