We received a very friendly and helpful welcome, fairly late on a Saturday evening, when the hotel (and town) was very busy.

From an extremely friendly welcome to a well appointed room to a superb breakfast, our stay was first class. Free parking at the door and right in the middle of town with lots of places to eat and drink, cannot be faulted.

Lesley& Paul were excellent hosts and were very friendly and helpful. Even though we wanted to leave early for the Open Championship all of the breakfast items were laid out for us - milk. orange juice in coolboxes, bread for toasting in cling film. Accommodation very clean, easy parking, moffat is a good venue.

We stayed here as an overnight stop-off between the Isle of Skye and
London. The room was nicely furnished, the bed comfortable, the shower
powerful and the breakfast delicious. The owners are very welcoming,
pleasant and friendly. We were given useful information about local
walks, restaurants and pubs, and about Moffat itself. We thoroughly
recommend it.

This was better than the four hotels i stayed in early on in the week and i stayed in four star hotels and not one matched this place. Staff are very very welcoming. Very good for value. Landlord very helpfull on where to go on trips etc. You see what you get. The other hotels which are 4 stars i stayed in never met the pictures that are on letsbo

Although the weather was very hot when we stayed the room had big windows and was comfortably cool at night.
The breakfast was excellent and Jan gave us lots of ideas of what we could see & do in the area. There is a kitchen on same level & it was useful to have use of the fridge. The family room is spacious with a big bathroom.

The friendliness and sense of humour of the staff, the restaurant (really great food, not the usual English fried stuff, although they do serve a very good fish and chips), their initiative, although we didn't book it (not too sure when we would be back) they did keep a table for us in their restaurant for Saturday evening just in case we wanted to dine with them. Which, of course, we did!

Comfortable room with an excellent seperate sitting area. Facilities to make a variety of hot drinks with no limit imposed by limiting the amount of milk available. Good hearty breakfast. Near to A64(M) so able to break a long journey without having to go to far and not as soulless as a Travel Lodge.
