  What a gem! First of all, the location was magnificent! I wish we could have stayed so much longer. The room and bath were huge and so very comfortable. The service was exceptional e.g. my car broke down and the lovely hotel receptionist hung on the line for 15 minutes to book the AA to fix it. The building is spectacular and the grounds are beautiful. The inside is a delight. It's like stepping back in time. A stunning chateau for a special occasion or a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing weekend.

  This is a recently opened B&B in Bangor, and is absolutely lovely. The rooms are large and bright, with lovely décor and furnishings, and views over either the well maintained garden areas or towards Menai Straits, and the breakfast certainly set us up for a full day's sightseeing. Our room was large and so well decorated. The little touches (i.e. terry bathrobes, Q-tips, cotton balls and hair dryer) made our room extra special. This room lacked for nothing. Susan is an exceptional hostess (I say this rather than proprietor). She went out of her way to give us suggestions on where to eat and what to see (even including the codes to put into our GPS).
