  The way we were met on arrival by Chris. Even at 9.45pm he came and got our television working at the cost of an electric shock to him from the aerial. The quality of the food and the overall service and pleasant manner of the staff. Dog-walking in February can be a muddy experience, but the owners had even thought about a 'hosing down' place. We were spoilt for choice at breakfast, and beware the size of the evening meals if you value your waist line. Overall, a top class experience which we expect to repeat .

  The hosts were delightful & managed to get that (sometimes difficult) balance of friendliness & professionalism just right. They could give courses in customer care! The rooms were well thought out with attention to detail & breakfast was just what we needed to start our day. We've already started recommending this place & will definitely be back :) - Rooms very clean, nice view of the church, restaurant on arrival was busy, a good sign it is popular and was backed up by good honest and well prepared food. Breakfast was also excellent - hot and also well prepared, not your usual grease-feast. Staff very friendly.

  We've stayed at a number of five star hotels yet not experienced the high level of consideration, thoughtfulness and kindness as shown at this B&B. The refreshments and snacks provided in the room and on trays brought to our room were far superior to the norm. Sue's homemade cakes are gorgeous and breakfast was lovely too. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linen - Such a wonderful flying visit at Hunters Cottage! Both Pete and Sue welcomed us with outstanding hospitality - offering refreshments and scrumptious, freshly baked goods on arrival (even though we were hours ahead of schedule)! These were devoured whilst overlooking the idyllic landscape and thriving wildlife pond, which as a naturalist and keen gardener, was very exciting and heartening to see!   We spent 1 night at Farndon Thatch and it is a fantastic B&B.We have stayed in many B&B's, but this is absolutely one of the best. Lovely comfortable bedroom (medievil room), exceptionally clean, lovely decor and well thought out. We got tea and biscuits upon arrival and a lovely glas of red wine in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was also wonderful with - Beautiful house and gardens, and very nice and helpful hosts. Excellent (cooked) breakfast. Beautiful villages, an easy drive away. Wonderful views from the garden and breakfast table. Very relaxing ambiance. We can highly recommend this B&B. Would definitely stay here again for a longer stay - one day...

  Super hospitality, nothing seemed too much trouble! Wonderful breakfast. The children (aged 5 and 6) were even invited to feed the chickens (sadly we were in a rush!) but we ate the freshest eggs we have ever eaten. Only laid that morning. The farm house is very old and it has real character. - Every thing. When we arrived it was dark,jean and mark kindly invited us to share their evening meal. In the morning mark let my 4 yearold grandaughter help feed the chickens and collect eggs for breakfast. It really made her day. We were made to feel very welcome.
