I stayed here for four nights in mid April. Excellent value at £30 per
night, especially in view of the superb full English breakfast (8.00 to
9.30). Very pleasant breakfast room, all tables immaculately
laid,cereals, juices and toast, bay window overlooking street and a wall
mounted flat screen tv for your early morning news fix.

I stayed in the apartment which was great value for money - it appears to be a converted part of the building rather than a purpose built space, and because of this it isn't the highest quality, still it was clean and spacious enough for a 3-day stay. The staff are friendly (including Phil who might not be everyone's cup of tea)and the location was spot on for a Snowdon Trip.
There was even parking right behind the building.

Fantastic breakfast, great location and very warm and welcoming hosts. Some lovely touches also .. 2 bottles of water on our bedside tables when we arrived and also a cupboard in the hallway with essential items for guests to use if they were out. Would highly recommend the Cartref Guesthouse. We will stay again next time we are Caernarfon. We had a lovely overnight stay and will be back.

The reception staff were always friendly and willing to help in any way. The room was spacious, well-appointed, clean and warm. The recommended free car-park is close. The town is only five minutes walk down the quay, and the Record Office for genealogists is about three minutes walk. The attached restaurant serves excellent meals from breakfast to dinner, and the staff there are also excellent, giving great service.

Michael and Michelle are exceptional hosts who made sure our stay was warm, comfortable and enjoyable.
We had a nice room with freeview television, ensuite with powerful shower, tea & coffee making facilities and views across the countryside to Snowdonia.
Breakfast was very good with home made full English, toast with choice of preserves, good range of cereals, fresh fruit, tea, coffee and fruit juice.

Friendly staff, good sized room for a family of 5. Clean and good sized bathroom with plenty of towels provided at no extra cost. Tea and coffee making facilities was great as was more than plenty and even biscuits. Also great views from large window. This is our second visit to Tafarn y Rhos. Everyone was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. As before, the food was excellent and now the wholesome cooked breakfast is included in the price. The mattress was very comfortable and we will be returning. The hotel is fairly close to Trac Mon, Anglesey's racing circuit, which suits us well.

Yours is a terrific hotel. The position by the bridges is marvellous.(great walks, history, spectacular scenery). The room decor is highly original - the most stylish I've seen in 25 years of visiting over 70 countries (I'm a lecturer in Tourism Studies).
