Staff was excellent. Made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, until we got in the car to leave. Rooms are very nice. Food was great. Hiking opportunities are virtually unlimited - as beautiful an area as one can imagine. -

We stayed for 5 nights at Barghuus Axalp and had a woderful time. Peter
and Michaela are great hosts and this place is true value for money. Not
luxurious but clean, comfortable bunk beds, decent bathroom and common
facility to cook eg. A microwave, a fridge, owners shop nearby with most
of things you might need. Excellant surroundings to feel the swiss hill
village life. There are not many people as most houses are holiday
homes. Peter loves to talk and is a great company. Happy that we chose

Guest accommodation is in a typical Swiss chalet next to the owners residence. Very spacious room, with traditional decoration. Tea and coffee making facilities were also provided. Wonderful views over Lake Brienz and steam railway. Excellent WiFi connection. Breakfast simple but adequate. Host was very friendly and helpful. Located in a quiet residential area, ten minutes uphill walk from train station.
