  Stayed her for two nights to do sightseeing and pick up a new Volvo. Reception was very helpful and friendly. Three elevators so not much waiting. Breakfast Buffet was extremely generous and good. Hotel is connected to a large shopping mall that is accessable without going outside if the weather is bad. The mall has a lot of good restaura - Even if the street leading up to the hotel is a little shabby and the lobby area is not great the room I had was fine and spacious and the breakfast was good.

  The Barken Viking is very interesting being a converted old ship, it is right on the riverside and extremely close to central station which makes it quick and easy to get to if travelling in on bus from Landvetter Airport. It is also very quiet which is great for being so close to the city center. The breakfast was great. It was a large and nice old ship turned hotel. Breakfast was included and plentiful. Internet is free and you can hook up any amount of devices, just change the email you register with for each one of them. Location is pretty good, next to the opera house and the ship museum, and at least a good 20 minutes walk from some of the nice streets in the center.

Very helpful staff who spoke excellent English, we could put bus cards onto the hotel bill etc. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but they looked good and other people did use them a lot. We did use the free internet, that was appreciated.
