This was a very pleasant pension. We had a double and a single room for our daughter. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was quite well located with only a ten minute walk to the old town where we spent a lot of time. The coffee which is free was lovely. The location is very close to San Sebastian RENFE station. It is also couple of minute to the beach.
It is very clean and almost new since the owner just repaint the pension.
It is definetiley worth place to stay and if I am going to san sebastian, I will definitely come back to this pension

Beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean,this lovely small hotel deserves four stars rather than two. It was slightly difficult to find (sat-nav very helpful) but is a lovely peaceful rural retreat. It is set in vineyards and is on the eddge of the little town of Gaintza,which had great strategic significance in Napoleonic times.

Clean, quiet, with all the amenities and comforts on a hilltop above Getaria surrounded by vineyards.
The staff were polite and discreet and willing to help us even in small everyday difficulties of our journey.
We stayed in the largest room which was really BIG with a large balkony, large bathroom and jacuzzi

Really beautiful and comfortable palace with the surrounding countryside providing the perfect setting. Only 30mins drive to San Sebastián. 45 mins to Bilboa. Everything was just great. Restaurant is outstanding. The chef - a charming guy - likes to meet his guests and talk about his dishes and the way he prepares them. The "black" fillet steak is brilliant!!

wealth of experience and knowledge about how to run a hotel business. He
is smart, resourceful, really cared about his guests, and speaks English
beautifully. The rooms were each beautifully and individually decorated
with taste, a mini fridge, some with balconies, situated in the old and

They even changed the towels in the evening for us. Room was extremly spacious very well laid out. - The staff were incredibly helpful! The hotel is beautifully decorated, the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the entire facility is extremely clean. The walk into town is beautiful and less than 10 minutes. In addition, there is ample room to leave your vehicle.

Fabulous town, wonderful food, Hotel is built on a narrow ridge above the bay where you can watch the surfers from your room with a floor to ceiling glass wall. We chose the old style room with wooden shutters looking north with our own balcony and view of red tile roofs, the church bell tower and the ocean in the back ground. Just wonderful!!!! This is a superior hotel and staff; just sorry we were not staying much longer.

Ignacio and his wonderful "team" was a credit to this small friendly hotel,nothing was to much trouble,they looked after us splendidly ,even providing a superb meal,even though the restaurant was closed ( we arrived very late after driving 800 k!)

A perfect hotel, especially when travelling between Spain and France a very good solution.
Very good room, completely upgraded, good beds, clean bathroom, perfect shower.
Next morning we took a breakfast. Lot of choice, everything fresh and looked great.
We travel a lot and this is a hotel to remember for the next time!
