O que as pessoas dizem
It is one block near to Picaso museum, the residence is situated in the center of the center of Malaga, this advantage is enough to rate it with an "excellent". all Malaga's monuments are no more than 5 mn walking. Alkasaba, and Teatro Romano are less than 2 mn on foot. The Malagueta beach also is pretty near to the residence. The staff members are terrific people and very friendly and cooperative. todos opiniões »
Universitaria San Jose is an ideal location for those who want to visit Malaga and its surroundings. It is inside the old town, quite a few steps from the Malaga Cathedral, and just in front of the Picasso Museum. Our apartment was exquisite and the internet connection was excellent. I might say it had a single flaw: it was flawless.
This is a student residence, so there is a kitchen with a fridge and a microwave per 2-3 rooms. Our room was small, but one can hang out in the kitchen. Location is good: 7 minutes walking to the avenue, local bus hub. The Roman theatre, the castle and the beach are also in walking distance.
The best location you can imagine! Just around the corner is the cathedral and the Picasso museum. Rooms was clean and spacious. For the price, best deal you can get in Malaga. Staff speaks only Spanish but I won't consider this as an issue since everything was perfect. Definitely recommend!.
Great location-right next to the cathedral and museum, about 15 minutes walking to the beach-for really low price. The shared bathroom was clean and nice. Personal couldn't speak english but the lady was very nice and we managed to communicate without problems.
I loved that we had such a lovely big room, with a beautiful sun terrace just outside the door. I loved the location! Absolutely perfect for all visitors to Malaga!
The staff were friendly and the room was very comfortable. I would recommend it to all!.
Great location. Our room was not on street on San Jose, but approx. 5 streets away, where is other part of the hostel. I think this part of hostel has even better location than the main building. Room was nice and quite big. Receptionist was nice.
Located just behind Museu Picasso, and near most of Malaga's attractions. It was also near a number of halal restaurants. The staff had little, but understandable command of english and communicating was not a problem.
Spacious room, very simple, great terrace. The window if kept open
provides enough air circulation to fight the heat.
Clean and everything worked properly, bathroom fridge, cabinets etc.
Good place for the money.
the price is very good! and it is located just opposite the Picasso museum, very convenient.
I didn't try but the meal they sell is quite cheap and looks nice.
There is a shared kitchen and laundry room.
Universitaria San Jose was good value for one night and was in an excellent location, just round the corner from the Picasso museum. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable.
Very friendly staff. Newly fitted flatlet very spacious room. incredibly central position yet quiet.
Ideal for seeing more of this under rated city.
The apartment was modern and pleasant. Very central and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I think it was reasonably priced for what it was.
Location-right in the town center. Nice and friendly staff. Clean, hot
water in the bathroom, room was ok, big enough, cleaned daily.
The apartments have heating and air conditioning but the normal rooms have not ; the location is great and it s really clean.
I was sitting in hotel bed with the open window, drank serveza, and felt like a bar in the historic center :).
Great location about 30m. from Picasso Museum.
The owner says he wants to provide low cost, clean units.
excellent location, simple but clean, value for money - suitable for low budget travellers, young people.
Great location. Excellent value. Good room and bathroom facilities. Lovely staff. Rooftop terrace.
Close to almost everything. Good wifi signal everywhere. Clean towel and sheets were provided.
I liked the price and the location, very near the cathedral, picasso's museum, Alcazaba, etc.
The staff was really friendly.
The location was perfect!
It was real value for money.

we parked for free near the beach area.
Great location and very pretty terrace near our double room for evening relax.
Good cleaning and bed. Elevator. Central poison at a low price.
It was right in the city centre, and the place was very clean.
Clean, good location, nice stuff (but they speak no English).
tapasbars,but not the touristic ones

Great location near the Picasso museum, cathedral etc.
There was a fridge and a washing machine. Very quiet.

Great for a one night stop off.
I liked that it was Central, clean band quiet.
This is my second stay. Everything was great.

the kitchen facility has no glasses, no dishes... it's a bit weird.
The reception was hard to find: when you come in, use the first door on your left, don’t go upstairs.
We left some nuts on the drawer pedestal, and they almost disappeared after cleaning. Hope this is not a usual practice.
If you have a car, you have to add extra money for parking to your budget (approx 25€ a day), but together with the price of a room it's still one of the best deal you can get. There is no cups and dishes, as mentioned before, but there is no problem to get some plastic at the shops nearby. Finding the location could be tricky, so check it properly before you go.
There was completely no equipment in teh kitchen, just sink and fridge (no cooker, no dishes). The street was very noisy the whole night, it was almost impossible to sleep.
Only flaw was that we were on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator. Meant lifting heavy case up stairs, which I managed, but oldies might not, so worth noting.
Receptionist could not speak English. There was no equipment for cooking in the kitchen - only cooker. Under the window were parking taxis whole the night, but the noise was acceptable.
flight of stairs.
Shared bathroom between four rooms was a bit overwhelming because there
were at least two people per room.
Quite the walk up the stairs if you stay in the fourth floor.
Noisy street so take your earplugs and you'll sleep like a baby.
the staff cannot speak English at all. Only her daughter can but she's not there all the time.
The door of my room doesn't have hand. very difficult to close the door from outside.
not enough hot water.
The shared bathroom wasn't very clean.
Better directions as to how to find would help.
Building work outside the window, I had to keep the blinds down due to builders being literally infront of us on the roof terrace. The kitchen facilities were as stated, but no crockery cutlery or even a glass to drink from, we needed to go shopping to buy things we needed to use. There was also shocking noisy building work in the street (no ones fault).
Staff did not speak English. Microwave did not work, no kettle, no cups,
cutlery, pans,no cooking facilities at all. There was only the fridge
and freezer working in the kitchen.
the rooms without air conditioning/ heating
no breakfast
The kitchen is not well equipped in fact it's not possible to cook something.
Owner was the only one who spoke English.
Desk was not available full time.
staff does not speak english very well (but still is very friendly).
Other people staying could be noisy at times, particularly if you wanted to rest or sleep. I was cold at first at night as there was only a sheet on the bed. I was provided with a blanket when I asked. No kettle to boil water for tea in the kitchen.
The staff did not speak any English at all. No heater in the room so it got very cold during the night. I stayed there on a Friday night so it was noisy as well.
The check in office it's open till 20hrs if you want to arrive later you have to pay 5€ so somebody can check you in.
It was a bit difficult to get hold of the staff at first because you have to phone them to open up for you and we didn't have a sim card for Spain. This could be quite problematic.
It was a room in a flat which was fine, but someone who lives there and was away for the weekend had left all their crockery in the kitchen sink etc felt a bit like the Marie Celeste! Also quite noisy but to be expected in Malaga centre on a Saturday night!.
Promised kitchenette consists only of microwave oven and fridge (no cooker, no plates).
Very hard to get into/in touch with the reception, witch make it hard to check in and out. Staff doesn’t speak any English.
They only accepted cash (due to some error, but maybe they'll fix it).
No soap, no hairdryer, additional pay for late check-in.
no desklamp.
We came in late (past the 8pm closing) and there was a 5 EUR surcharge for having someone open the door to us. The floor of the washroom was covered with water because of the shower.
staff cant speak english.
Nothing!.
The room was too hot. The reception could be opened during day time.
A bit cold in rooms in January, but there were extra blankets, so actually no problem if you don't spend your whole day in a room.
very difficult to find (no hotel's name), not 24h reception, only cash payment.
- wifi sometimes problems.
Not their fault - but there was building works going on right outside the entrance of the building. Noisy and messy!.
The bathroom was dirty,.
The rooms are found in few buldings in the central area. There is one
recption where is not always someone but there is a phone number where
you can call.
nothing.
