Everything! The owners were just lovely helpful people who couldn't do enough for you. Our room was massive, the bed even bigger! We had our own balcony and the views were amazing. The location for us was perfect, we much preferred staying in Hout Bay over Cape Town. Can't say enough good things about the Amblewood - we will definitely return in the future!

The architecture and the furniture, neo-vitorians, keep a strong caracter, in a very charming neighboodhoud situated in a hill turned to the ocean. Hosts Catherine, Craig and Michael, always efficient, kind and available, make a great team. It is fair to say that Michael's breakfasts were one the highlights of my stay in Cape Town.

My husband and I have enjoyed the two days. We had the room number 6 and an indescribable view of the sea. The hospitality and flexibility of Gail was just great and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. And we were able to watch whales in De Kelders - afterall a successful trip from Cape Town to Hermanus.

Facilities were great, they fully deserve the 5 star status they have just obtained. Gerhard and Gretchen were excellent hosts. Went out of their way to help us start the hire car which had a flat battery. -

A great and luxurious guest house with bamboo-theme. Nice garden and cool-
off swimming pool. Very friendly and devoted owners. One of the best
breakfasts we had with French cheese, fresh fruit, freshly baked muffins
and bread and eggs prepared the way you want them. We stayed in a very
spacious room with own balcony (garden-side). Bathroom with bathtub and
