Mayflower is a nice hotel in a peaceful, small city. People at the reception are very kind. They are ready to answer to your all questions. The price is reasonable. The service is good. It is in the city center but not too far from the train station (only 5-minute walk). Some informations about the hotel: - From the train station you just go ahead, passing the bridge, the hotel is at the corner on your left. -just leaving the train station the bus stop is on your right, the bus to keukenhof is .
todos opiniões » The hotel is in a small town, nice, peaceful. A good place for those who like a quiet area to relax. Local people are very nice. The room is good. The service is good. The receptionist is very nice and helpful. If I come back to Leiden I will choose this hotel again. I have already stayed in this hotel, its position is for sure the first positive aspect, but not the only one. The room where I stayed was bright, quite big and it had a nice view over the in front place. Vriendelijk personeel. Ideale locatie tussen Leiden CS en het centrum. Gratis Wifi, ook in de kamer. Friendly staff. Location ideally between centre and train station. Free Wifi throughout the hotel. The Hotel is close to the Centraal Station, and there are a lot of restaurants and pubs in the area. The room was big and cleaned. After Amsterdam really good value (breakfast a bit basic) and most helpful staff viz-a-viz storing our bikes. The location is very good，5 minites walking from central station，and you can find lots of snack bar around. However, the hotel is definately in need of a facelift. Two lamps in our room didn't work (bulbs good) Weather was hot and room had two fans, but poor cross ventilation. Hotel wasn't terrible, but not good value for the money. I liked the location and the fact that the rates were low. I also liked the room itself, view on the piazza in front of the hotel. Anything we mentioned did get fixed. location was near to eveything we wanted, staff friendly and helpful, no bad surprises. Location. Central location near shops, cafes, museums & train station. - location - room with a large surface. Location. Nothing. There is no wastebin in the room. There is no lift. Be careful with your luggage. The breakfast is not cheap, the stairs are really steep. TV and kettle in room did not work. Overall a bit tired look. Single pane windows at streetside, so rooms there can be a bit noisy. The breakfast was not so rich. Stairs really steep. Found hairs on the bed when first entering room. checkout is very early. lady at the reception was not able to explain us how to get to the hotel by car on the map. nearest parking is 300-400 meters from hotel and if you carry a lot of luggage - not easy at all. the nearest parking is the one at the Wind Mill, but it costs quite a lot. the other one moorsport (or something like that) is 10 euros per day and looked much more secure. No lift, we have to cover 3 floors on a very narrow staircase. Might not be a good idea for people with heavy bags. steep stairs, 10.30am check out, no smoking !. Nothing. the expense of the breakfast (McDonalds next door does a decent breakfast for 1/3rd of the price). The paper was peeling from the ceiling above the beds - and the apartment rooms generally need to be redecorated!!. Staff had little or no knowledge of laundarymat there knowledge and suggestion of local attraction was lacking. Room was somewhat rundown. Unfortunately the fron door of the hotel is just below room 18 and it slams every time someone enters or goes out. There are signs to encourage people to use caution when using the door, but these go regularly unnoticed, resulting in loud shakings of the room at every occurrence... Several things didn't work (e.g. lights and kettle). Small, old fashioned TV . In need of redecoration. although the room was clean, it was a little tired and could do with refurbishment (which I think had started - at least, there was an open duct in the bathroom wall which looked like it was going to become an extractor vent). Wallpaper coming off the wall at entrance to the room but nothing serious. The rest of... Poor condition. Quite run down & in need of repair. Mismatched, broken furniture. Torn carpets in room & walkways. Difficult, dangerous stairways. Poor lighting. Very dark room. Indifferent, inept, unwelcoming staff. NO LIFT/ELEVATOR. - light in the room is not bright enough - very steep staircase to reach room 23 - Directly on the main square and therefore noisy -. The room was shabby, bad linen not very clean, very old feel (radio). Poor room, poor furniture, bathroom disgusting, poor breakfast choice, poor hotel.
