Oh, Riad Malak, what can I say? I cannot recommend it highly enough. What a truly delightful little home away from home! I went form the ridiculous to the sublime - coming from the worst service I'd ever at in my life (at Tangier's MArco Polo Hotel) to the best I've ever had (at the Malak). It felt so lovely to arrive there. Mohamad, who greeted me and checked me in, is the most delightful, professional, helpful and welcoming person you are ever likely to encounter in any hotel anywhere. He goes way above and beyond the call of duty to make you feel welcome and to make your stay pleasant. Note to the owner – Mohamad is worth his weight in gold and a real asset to your business, whatever you are paying him double it! But also the owner and his family are also absolutely delightful. They make you feel at home but also give you as much personal space as you wish. Lovely people and a lovely riad. The riad itself is beautiful, and could not possibly be in a better position. Two minutes easy walk has you at the square and viewing the rightly-famous bab. Mohamad and the owners will organize tours and trips for you if you wish but are not at all pushy – they offered, I declined, and no more was said. The rooms are delightfully comfortable. The cost is beyond my usual budget (I ended up there by accident when my arranged accommodation fell through) but it was a happy accident that I ended up there because I enjoyed my stay thoroughly and for the money it really is excellent value. And Meknes is a very underrated city. Really pleasant. I thoroughly and unequivocally recommend Riad Malak. You won’t find a lovelier stay in Meknes (you’re not likely to find one anywhere!)
Nothing at all. The only suggestion I might make is that it would be a good idea to have a buzzer or a mobile number or something for when there are no staff presentI only needed something minor, but I can imagine that if someone really needed help and couldn't contact a staff member they might feel a bit disgruntled. Otherwise perfect :)

Riad Malak was an ideal introduction to Morocco. The Riad is in the heart of the Medina, close to the significant historical monuments of Meknes. The Riad has been lovingly refurbished in traditional Moroccan style and displays the skills of local artisans while, at the same time, catering for Western comfort. We were warmly greeted by Mohammad and offered tea on arrival. Although our booking was for only one night, Saad, the owner, found us alternative accommodation next morning, when we decided to extend our stay in Meknes. Our relationship with Riad Malak continued as we returned, on several occasions, to have our evening meals on the pretty roof-top terrace. As well as the usual tagines and cous-cous, the host aims to present guests with an extended range of eating experiences. One night was themed a Ramadan Feast where a multitude of small dishes were served on mint-garnished tables. Since wifi in our other Riad was not working, we were invited to continue using the excellent wifi connection in the salon at Riad Malak. We did this each day and were always offered tea. When my partner suffered a particularly acute case of food poisoning from eating in the square, Saad arrived at our room with a special kind of healing tea and yoghurt. We feel that we have been embraced by this family. Our last day in Meknes coincided with a religious festival and we were invited to join the family for breakfast and to observe some of the ritual. We cannot recommend this Riad more highly!

+ the staff is more than friendly and helpful. We arrived at 5 a.m. and our room could not be ready untill 10 a.m. They received us very nice with a space to wait, some blankets, tea and breakfast "on the house"; + dinner on the roof is very relaxing, being "accesorized" by an excellent view and a perfect local tajine; + the roof by itself represents a nice feature of the riad; + location is excelent, 10-15 metres right from the main square; + the room was pretty large and also the bathroom.

The guy at the reception could work on any luxury hotel, was very helpful and the riad is easy to find from outside the medina, close to the main square. The breakfast was fantastic.
Very good location ,very good staffs .we booked a double room but since the room has problem we got a suit in the same price ,since the internet had problem when we were there ,the owner tried to help and at the end gave 10% discount.he really try to be fair to us .
Everything are good ,except the beds are a bit hard for us .
It is a beautiful Riad, very modern and very spacious and decorated in a more luxurious style than most riads we've stayed. Great terrace with amazing views of the Medina. Most of all, we felt very welcome. The owner and the staff were amazingly Nice and caring without being overwelming. They will provide you with anything you need or ask. Also the breakfest and dinner also were really complete and very very tasty. We strongly recommend it!
We arrived very late and could not find the riad but the staff was very kind, helped us find our way and welcomed us with tea and a special treat! The riad is beautiful!

The owner was specially welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was excellent and, in fine weather, can be taken on the sunny roof terrace. The location in the Medina is very convenient (though we had some difficulty finding it as the taxi driver didn't recognise the address!)
Our room was not large and was overwhelmed with heavy furniture.
Friendly staff. Great location in the medina. Close to everything. Lovely breakfast and all round great service.
Bathroom was a little smelly and we couldn't get hot water at all. The bed was a little hard also.

Unfortunately the hand basin was not draining at all and the toilet kept running.
