Great room, very clean and simple design! Everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We went for a deluxe twin and it was a good size and very modern! Nice little gastro pub downstairs, some nice food and reasonably priced! Word of advice that they close the pub at 3 o clock afternoon time on a Sunday and Monday, we were caught short on our first Monday night so had to go next door for a takeaway Chinese :-) 5/10 minute walk from china town, and continue out the other end to find monumen. todos opiniões »
We had a standard double room and it was perfect, bed really comfortable
and clean sheets. Flatscreen tv with USB-port so could watch movies from
our hard-drive, perfect! You can have breakfast in the bar downstairs,
it is only open for breakfast and lunch. If you want any drinks later
then that, you can ask at the reception and then they can get them for
you. In the area around the hotel isn't much apart from the railway
station and a couple of Chinese restaurants. It is about a 10 min walk
to.
Stayed there for three nights. Very nice and new hostel for flashpackers
in a modern style. I like the comfy beds and 2 pillows in interestingly
designed dorm rooms and also the nice gathering rooms with those laid
back seats. The breakfast was really nice. I have to give credit to the
staff of the hotel, they tried their best and I appreciate it in
different forms. Location is also very good, close to the monorail and
within considerable walking distance to china town and downtown...
Location was amazing. I loved that it's just a few steps from the monorail. The monorail itself was 2 stops from train/bus to the airport. It was 5 minute walking to Chinatown and about 10-15 minute to Central market. Staff was really helpful, super friendly and very professional. Rooms can't be better. I stayed at the 4-bed dorm. The mattress was super comfortable and I had 2 pillows! Very good value for money. Internet is free with computers in a big lounging space.
The staff is very friendly and warm. They're interested in the customer's satisfaction: I arrived in the morning, very early (5:30 AM) and the room wasn't ready and it would have been ready at 2 PM. Since I didn't sleep during the flight, they offered me to use some of their big "pillows" in the hall as a bed: it worked perfectly!
Every day, then, they gave me suggestions about buses, routes to follow, places to visit.....recommended!.
Good location - just near the monorail station; clean room and it is
tidied every day; new furniture; helpful staff. There were the best
hotel lobby I've ever seen - with 2 PCs and 1 tablet with internet
access, billiard, cosy hassocks, fox tv channel and mini-library with
loads of books and guides. Nasi Lemak for breakfast is a must to taste.
We stayed at the hotel on two different occasions.I'm just glad that we decided to stay here-the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is also located right next to the Maharajalela monorail which makes travelling around in KL that much easier.
Would definitely recommend it to my friends who plan to make a trip to Kuala Lumpur.
I booked few hours before my arrival and they didn't have my booking. So when the staff try find an available bed in a dorm, everything was full. Finally, the staff give me a standard room as the same price than a bed in a dorm :) Breakfast wasn't include but it's a good value, Good design.
What a cool hostel design! It's not a couple of bunk beds with a reception desk, you can see someone actually designed it.
Perfect location, next to the monorail (which is cheap, use it!), 7 min walk to the chinatown main streat, add another 7 and you're in the independence square.
The staff were amazing! Very friendly and easy to talk to. Their english was superb and they were very willing to help. The atmosphere of the hotel was very chill yet professional. It is a perfect place to stay for young travellers. The rooms were very clean and modern as well.
good location, just close to train station.. the restaurant serves a delicious meal with reasonable price..
good internet connection.
I highly recommend it, good value of money..
the staff at night shift ( Ahmad) was so helpful in arranging taxi to bus station early morning..
Friendly helpful staff, amazing room with big kitchen all you need for a comfy stay! Great location and great views from the room balcony! Awesome price for the huge room we were given, couldn't have asked for more!.
The hotel is very cool inside and well located - 10 minutes by walk to the petaling street. Staff was very helpful.
I am planning to visit KL once more in January and I will definitelly stay there again.
Bed was super comfortable and very big. Staying at a dormitory room you still have your privacy.20 meters from metro station.Overall absolutely satisfied with this property. Will definitely stay again.
The location is only a short walk to Chinatown. Grid 9 is brand new and therefore, although the rooms are small- everything very clean and the decor was funky and well thought out.
so close to the monorail, great value for solo travellers - the single rooms are comfortable and make a nice change from dorms, really helpful staff manning a 24hour reception desk.
Fantastic hostel with great clean and funky decoration. its so much worth it for budget traveller. staff is very helpful, polite and always smile to assist any of your request.
Location is very nice. Just in front of the monorail station. We stayed twin with shower & 4 beds famaily room, both are very convenient. Enjoyed one night stay.
The location is excellent, right next to a monorail station which ideal in the hot and humid weather!
Rooms were very clean, a/c worked well. Would stay here again.
Clean, friendly stuff, just in a few steps from the hotel monorail station.only in 10 min you can get to the center, and the same 10 min to get to KL sentral station.
The staff and particularly management were very service oriented and clearly did all they could to ensure that our stay was problem free and relaxing.
+ Short from monorail

I booked already a few times more for this hotel )).
Grid 9 was probably the best thing about KL.everything was as
described, really friendly staff, great gastro pub and perfect location.
Excellent location, right beside the monorail stop! staff let us check in early and helped us negotiate a taxi to the airport.
The staffs so friendly, location near town area. I love the atmosphere and i'll sure come back to kl and stay in this hotel.
Right next to the monorail. Excellent accommodation for backpackers and budget travellers, clean rooms and great service.
Awesome facilities and beanbags! Free access to the famous Zouk kl. decent room and infinite wifi access.
The staff are very friendly, especially Erick.
Thanks for accompany me looking for supper.

Trendy hotel
Great location
Friendly staff.
Clean, trendy, location, friendly staff.
Value for money, right next to subway.
-Excellent location -comfortable beds.
Staff was friendly and very helpful!.
Staff was friendly and very helpful!.
Maybe just that I had to do my bed alone..those details also make the
general impression...but thats the last thing I would care about when
picking the right place ;).
Only 1 plug in the room (but several available in the hall).
There were dark spots on the bedsheet. No wardrobe. Shower is not
isolated from the rest of the bathroom.
I just stayed one night, everything was good.
The hallways to the rooms were stuffy and humid. The rooms can also get stuffy and humid if you don't have the AC on. It's not a big problem though because once the AC starts working, the rooms are quite comfy. There's no mini fridge in the rooms to keep cold drinks and coming in from the hot weather of KL, an ice cold drink is really refreshing. There's no hair dryer in the room but it can be borrowed from the front desk I believe.
some of staff is rude.
Nothing!.
Rooms, that we had, was not big at all, but it was ok.
When I was feeling sick and put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door so I could rest- housekeeping knocked on my door 5 times in 3 hours. So after the second time I stopped answering.
the storage in the dorms isn't quite big enough for large backpacks.
they should not let other guest who arrive earlier kept wait that long.
I can't find nothing.
Would have like a few more snack/meal items to choose from at the snack bar.
No place to eat or to change money near the hotel.anyway you can eat in the hotel, food isn't expensive.
The room we stayed in was great in all respects but could have benefitted from being about 20 square feet bigger. Otherwise we were very happy.
nothing .
definitely a small room but if you're only spending the night there it's not really a problem.
Not much menu at cafe.
Little parking space.
Everything was great!!!.
It's quite a long walk from Imbi and Bukit Bintang if you decided to venture out well past midnight. Last train is 11.30pm.
Wifi is quite unstable. Lost the connection to Grid9-3b on the 2nd day.
Well, you have to get used to be in a room without a window. ;-).
Small single room. No fly screens on the window, so you couldn't really open the windows.
-little size of personal locker in room
-no laundry service.
The place is still been built. So many things their website says they
have were not there. For instance the bar+restaurant.
Small rooms without windows - were there just for one quick night, so no problem.
Nothing.
can't buy snacks and drinks.
Rooms are too small No space even for a baby cot.
The first night i stay, the room have noise, causing by the air-con machine outside the windows. Really drive me crazy. Lucky tomorrow they change the room for me.
Nothing.
Not much hot water, ran out very fast.
-Some staff were a bit arrogant.
No issues at all.
