  My daughter and I had an incredible, relaxing time at Villa Pane. Last year I stayed in a hotel in Sorrento but this was much much better. We had a large, clean room with terrace and an amazing view of the Bay but the best thing was the hospitality of the family and the staff. I can also really recommend dinner in the evening. The walk to town is stunning, although Gianluigi is always ready to shuttle guests to and from the villa. Another fabulous bonus is the food served!   I thought i was going to walk to the hotel, so I was pulling my suitcase up the hill, when Gianluigi, the owner came by a scooter and asked me, why i have not called him, so he could pick me up. This gave me a very positive first impression, that became even better, as we rose high on the hillside, and the view opened up.   Maison Tofani is the best kept secret in Sorrento. The staff were exceptional, especially Giovanni who collected our hire car on the morning we were leaving as the garage did not open until after we wanted to leave. Giovanni - We stayed 6 nights in Maison Tofani which is a great little hotel in the historical centre of Sorrento, decorated in the best Italian style. We had a large room with a big bed, a sofa and armchairs, a bathroom with shower - and free wifi! The room overlooked the narrow shopping street. We had a small table and two chairs on the minute balcony where we could watch the world go by. The windows were well insulated as we weren't disturbed by noise. Called our hotel in Praiano to confirm that we still have a booking and escorted us personally to the train station. Great location- right in the middle of the city. They will help to take our luggage by luggage lift, but if you have problem with your health to take stairs, you have to consider this or you can ask for the room downstair -The internet line not strong enough if you use it in the room
