This is a family hotel very unusual with breakfast served in the room. Service and personnel were very good . Hotel location was very near by "la Fontana de Trevis" and very well located

Very minor, room was pretty hot and I couldn't turn the heating down so a waste of energy cost for the hotel. Would have liked the bath water to be hotter for longer. You need it if you've walked all day to have a nice hot bath at the end if it. This is a comment and not a complaint as the good easily outweigh the bad at this hotel.
Gracious old building which gave you the feeling you were living in a family mansion. Easy walking to restaurants - local little store around the corner - handy to Via Veneto eateries Good security.
If the lift out of action there are 3 flights of stairs to negotiate.

Didn't realise there were lifts to 3rd floor so went up by stairs every night. Noticed people going further past stairs to get on lift that was night before we checked out. Should be signs for lifts in a few languages. Hairdryer didn't work.
Hotel Suisse is the cleanest place I have ever stayed, polished wood parquet floors, the bathrooms very modern, and the wi-fi worked great in the room! Each room is a bit different. It has a very "Italian" feel to it. The staff is fluent in English, and very helpful. The continental breakfast delivered to your room beautifully served. It is very secure, with buzzers for building and hotel entrance. From the street you enter a large enclosed vestibule area that continues to an open courtyard. You may walk the stately marble stairs, or take the elevator to the third floor (which in the USA would be the 4th floor). It is in an old Italian patrician house, with the hotel occupying the third floor. The rooms overlook any of several courtyards, depending on your room. The location is just a block to the top of the Spanish Steps, several blocks from Trevi Fountain, and across the street from the Museum of Modern Art. Very centrally located. Lots of eating establishments in the area. I had a lovely stay, and as a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe, and watched over.

Central location; budget-friendly; charming facilities; competent, friendly and solicitous staff. We neither need, nor want, five-star nonsense. This hotel was PERFECT for our tastes and we will stay there again at the first opportunity.

The hotel is perfectly located: 2 min walk from Spanish steps and 5 min walk from Fontana Trevi. The staff is very nice and helpful.
The hotel does not have a kitchen, and breakfasts, served in rooms, are very poor. They consisted of tasty coffee, bisquits, jam, one piece of cheese for two people. One may choose oranje juice or yogurt optionally... That was a little stange. We would recommend the hotel to add some ham, cheese, eggs to breakfasts.

The location very close to the top of The Spansh Steps and Metro station is excellent. The hotel is situated in an older, very well-kept nice building. It is furnished in good taste, have a good atmosphere and a high cleaning standard. The owners and the staff are friendly and helpful.
