  La Corte degli Angeli is a fantastic hotel, in the very centre of Lucca, in a quiet street. Our room was really big and cosy and with shutters (very important for me, as I need obscurity to sleep. The bathroom was gorgeous, with jacuzzi and TV. Breakfast was also really good. Couldn't have had abetter experience. The room and hotel premises were clean andimpressive. There are some pretty good restaurants around, one of which at least does take away (none of them has a view like the apartment).   We were in the self catering apartment which was stunning and huge.It was a mix of antique furniture and modern fittings ( ikea kitchen).The breakfast was very good with a huge selection of food.Staff very helpful despite the lady speaking only Italian .We were able to leave our cases and pick them up later on the day of our departure.Very quirky ... o que as pessoas dizem » establishment , would thoroughly recommend - The staff was very friendly, though the day we checked in, there was an older lady in reception, that was able to give us instructions only in italian (but we understood each other quite well). A bit worn around the edges, but with a lot of character and charm. Large warm pool in a big, lush garden setting. Option to eat outdoors at each meal which we did. The room was a good size, excellent bed and the bathroom was modern with a nice bath. The oublic areas, bar and lounges were inviting and the staff were vey attentive. Overall it was fantastic.
