Friendly, welcoming hosts who made us feel right at home from the outset. Our room was spotlessly clean and quiet making for a great nights sleep. Breakfast was superb, a full Irish fry up with complimentary tea/coffee and toast to set you up for the day, or lightly poached eggs for that morning after the night before, served by Stephanie with a smile and a chat. Dave is extremely knowledgeable about the Westport area and gives great advice about day trips to get the best of the stunning coastl.

Very clean rooms,breakfast every morning suited every diet and specification and the Irish breakfast complete with soda bread,white and black pudding. Perfect location, also near to Westport golf club, with a golf loving partner the putting green out front and the living room full of golf memorabilia was brilliant,planning our next trip and will defiantly be returning to the Augusta Lodge. We loved the friendly atmosphere, Dave was a great host and told us where to find places to eat and drink, and arranged our bike hire for us. The lodge is well situated only a short walk from the town and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfasts were great and set us up for the day. We would not hesitate to recommend Augusta Lodge and we will surely stay there again when in the area. Dave was a wonderful host! Very informative and had great suggestions for a day out and around Westport. Recommendations for dinner were perfect. The house is picture perfect. Complete with a putting green out front. The theme is golf and there's a lot of interesting memorabilia. Daily breakfast was great and made to order. Throughly enjoyed our stay!. We have stayed in Augusta Lodge at least 3 times.We have always found great value for money.A great welcome from Dave & Stephanie & lovely comfortable warm and clean room.Also an excellent full irish breakfast with plenty of variety.I have recommended this B & B to all my friends.We hope to stay there when we visit Westport in the future. We were pleased with our one night stay here. Our room was on the ground floor with a sliding door to the outside. It was great being able to unpack & not have to carry our suitcases upstairs. Dave told us a wonderful drive to take through Connemara. The scenery was wonderful & it was the perfect way to end our vacation. Literally everything; the setting of the guesthouse at a quiet side road off the city center (though the center is within walking distance); the premises are very well kept; a cozy living room; friendly owners who give you good advice on what to do; wireless internet in our room; the numerous golf memorabilia in the house. The owners made us feel very welcome and provided excellent service - in fact better service than I would expect at a 5* hotel. The food was excellent and the whole place was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. We will use Augusta Lodge again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Ideally situated just outside of town, a warm welcome on arrival, quiet area with plenty of parking space. Would have preferred a slightly bigger t.v. My husband wanted to watch a rugby game but screen was tiny. Leaving after only 2 nights. None. Just a bit to far for my husband to walk into town. a little bit far from town when it rains. The bathroom could have been cleaner and some bathroom fixtures could be fixed/updated. nothing. Bedspreads old and dated, linens not up to par. all was fine, no dislikes at all. Two medium beds ocupying most of the room. One king sized or two individual would be far better. Nothing. Nothing.
