  Very welcoming, friendly, thoughtful and caring staff. Comfortable bed with blankets and radiator with thermostatic valve so that I could adjust the temperature, working en-suite shower, museli, wholemeal soda bread or toast, cold meat and cheese, fruit etc for breakfast which was just fine for me. It makes the weekend so much cheaper when your not paying for taxis. The rates are very good aswel, they are extremely reasonable. I stayed in the banner lodge for the first time in June, I liked it so much that when I was booking a hotel for September up there I didn't even look at other hotels.

  The Hotel and room were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The view of the river and garden at the back of the hotel is stunning to look out on and if the weather was right prefect to sit out on the decked area. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
