Very central location...close to main shopping areas, tourist centers
and restaurants...try The Grill Market Restaurant on the same street as
the hotel. We had a room with a balcony which was a good idea as it gave
us a lovely view of the square behind the hotel. The staff were very
helpful and breakfast was substantial. Easily reached( to and from

All of the reception personnel were extremely gracious and helpful. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. They answered questions, confirmed tours, made phone calls to check on things in other towns, made great suggestions about places to eat and buy things, and gave directions to get around. It was they who made it a stress-free trip. Takk

Aexcelente localizacao do hotel. Decoracao agradavel e bom café da manhã - The staff was superb! The desk personnel were extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding the sites to visit, excursions to take and places to eat. The cleaning staff was diligent in getting your room clean and tidy yet left personal items as you left them.

The location was perfect, 2 mins walk to the nearest bars and restaurants. The breakfast was simple but adequate and we also got breakfast at 5.30am before we headed to the airport on our last morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here on a return visit.

We booked the smallest and cheapest available room (the double studio). When we arrived, finding our keys and room was very easy.
The room was small but very clean - the bedding smelt very fresh. We also saw a family studio which was bigger and again very clean and pleasant.
I asked to upgrade our room as I wanted a bit more space (the prices are very reasonable and I was happy to pay more). However when the owner and Thora heard it was the last leg of our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a 3 bed

The owners are helpful and very interesting to talk to. This was our third trip to Iceland and this was by far the best of our accommodations in Reykjavik. The proprietor was wonderful - even though we arrived at 1:30 am, he came to meet us, got us a parking place, and showed us the apartment, which was spacious and well decorated - very homey.
