Definitely worth the money...

  We upgraded to an executive room and it was lovely. Absolutely the best hotel bed I have ever slept in. We had a magnificent view over the Danube and the breakfast and evening facilities in the executive lounge were second to none. The hotel has everything a weary traveller could possibly want and its in a wonderful location. All the staff were fr... o que as pessoas dizem » iendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal in Peppers restaurant and they had a very talented singer and piano player to entertain us. It was our first - This hotel provides good service at decent prices. We booked two executive rooms, which while relatively compact, provided all we needed. We arrived early, before our rooms were ready, but with our (discounted) exec rooms we spent some time on the excellent executive terrace & lounge, with free drinks and a great view of the river. This ia more of a big business hotel of course, but for us it was a usefull one-night stop on our Road Trip. Breakfast (also in the exec lounge) was quite good.

  The hotel is located very conveniently in the heart of budapest with access to metro, bus and tram right outside the door. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. We stayed in a superior room which comes with a huge balcony and provides a beautiful view of the adjacent streets and buildings. And the room itself was beautiful!   It's the second time we've stayed there in a short while. As we went to Croatia by car, we stopped in Budapest going and coming back. After the first experience in the hotel, we wanted to return.   The hotel was very elegant and well presented with a very impressive lobby. The concierge service was excellent, helped us book tickets for a boat cruise and recommended a restaurant that was excellent. There was live piano music in the evening in the lobby/bar area which made it really atmospheric and pleasant to have a drink there. Breakfast was excellent with a - Excellent staff, exceptionally clean and stylish hotel, great facilities, especially the Wellness pools and saunas which were a godsend at the end of a hot day city walking. We could not fault this hotel and will be sure to try and stay here when we visit this wonderful city again. We have already told all our friends how good Continental Hotel Zara was!

  Me and my partner stayed for a long weekend over August bank holiday. We couldn't believe the size of the room for the value that we paid. It had a bathroom with a toilet and shower/bath, an area outside this room with double mirrored wardrobes, with an iron and safe inside. All rooms are ' suites ', very spacious, very luxirious with great attention to all details. The location, although not with a Danube river view, was 2 mnitues from the river and close to everything that would be of interest to tourist. We enjoyed this hotel very much and would stay there again , whenever. The fact that our room was only C$ 104.00 per night which included a daily breakfast did help.
