we had a wonderful stay. we requested a room with a view of the castle and - or the mosel river and they gave us both....it was truly beautiful and i would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to be in cochem. - The staff were extremely friendly spoke good English and did all they could to make our stay a good one. Will be going back soon.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. It had a large bathroom and toiletries provided which we found rare on our travels at similar guest houses. We loved our stay at Altes Fahrhaus. We arrived early and the owner let us put our bags in the rooms while she cleaned. We were able to park in front. We had room 6 which had a balcony overlooking the Moselle with a view of the castle. Breakfast was very generous and our host was extremely gracious. I wish we could have stayed longer.
