Hotel staff were very helpful. We had difficulties with car breakdown and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Staying an extra night was made really easy. The owner and staff were very friendly and spoke good english. We usually stay in an Ibis but we found the room was of better quality and also larger plus with its own balcony. Again the breakfast was as good if not better than the Ibis chain.

Marieka greeted with a warm welcome and friendly smile. From there it just kept getting better. Our room balcony overlooked the Rhine and we just watched the boats passing by. Sandra, Marieka's daughter organised a boat trip for us which capped off a wonderful day

We were hiking the Rheinsteig and Hotel Zu Den Bergen was very handy to the track (near Marksberg [castle]). Our hotel room was spacious, modern and very clean, as was the ensuite bathroom. A large breakfast was included in the room price consisting of eggs, meats, breads, cheese, cereals, fruit yoghurt and tea/coffee. -

Our host was an extremely well spoken German gentleman, fluent in English and very friendly and helpful. This place is located in a beautiful street in a small village, but surrounding areas was very easy accessible. Breaakfast selection was also good. -

are really comfortable, and nicelly arranged (it's like your
grandmother's pension). Some rooms have a bathroom, some other
don't and you have to use the common bathroom and toilets, but it is
all very clean. The host can give you a lot of advices about things to
do in Boppard and around. What you must not miss are the wonderful
