The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Breakfast was well-stocked and the bar and cafe on ground floor looked tidy and comfy. Room (twin) was clean and spacious, and had what I needed. Very well noise-insulated room, I did not hear a peep from outside. -

Everything was arranged as promissed. We camo very late, but code to the door was send by e-mail and SMS (that was very convenient). Pica bar downstairs was exelent place for late dinner. We benefited having tea in room, as we where traveling with kids. just value for money if you want location cose to center. It is a lot of place for parking just

The hotel is situated in the historical heart of the city, so it's easy to get wherever you want. There's a pizzeria on the ground floor and many shopping centers nearby.
The room was not very big, but it has two separated areas, for sleeping and for dining.
There's no kitchen, but you can warm up pre-cooked meals (there are plenty of them in the supermarket) in the microwave.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sokos Aleksanteri Hotel. The room was comfortable, cosy and quite. The location of the hotel is absolutely fine - in the center, but on a small quite street. We just needed a quiet place where we could cook food, and rest between shopping and sightseeing, without carpets on the floor. Since we both have to avoid certain foods, the cooking and opportunity to keep food cold was essential. It was very cheap compared to other self-catering options, and the windows effectively shut out noise from the streets. There wasn't an endless party going on as in some hostels.

Location for attending the Flow Rock Festival (saw incredible Kraftwerk!!) and for bus travel to/from the airport was unbeatable.
Right next to the main train station/metro and facing an open bus staion - yet without any of that sleaziness that infects European train/bus stations.
Finns are just too nice to be sleazy and are also darn good-looking!!! They have to be the handsomest race I have ever or will ever see.

The design of the room was just perfect... We wished we could have notleft! Modern Nordic design even in the wooden bathroom. Ahjo lounge barwas really good.
