The staff where helpful and friendly. We had a spacious room overlooking the harbour. The hotel is pet friendly too, one of the reasons we booked The Melinda. Breakfast was excellent, and I enjoyed the scrambled egg and bacon. -

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was simple but clean and had enough room for a couple with two small children (triple room). The breakfast buffet was good. The location just 100 metres from the beach and with plenty of food outlets nearby was great. A good hotel for a short stay with kids. -

This is the second time I've stayed here and I've no complaints whatsoever. OK the rooms are a bit scruffy but are perfectly clean. Staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast, though simple, is well worth getting up for.

The location is good too, being pretty central and not too far from the railway station.
For value for money this suited me perfectly -
rooms were v good we had two rooms and they were next to each other the only ones on the floor.
The rooms were clean basic but just what we wanted for a two night stay. Had read some bad reviews but these did not aply yo our stay. We were greeted in a friendly manner and everything about the hotel was explained to us. The staff were very attentive through out our stay. The location was excellent for the beach and the shopping. Would certainly stay here again .
