Fantastic value for money - I was a bit worried because it was at such a low rate...but the rooms are big! It is very comfortable.
Staff are helpful and 24 hrs. There are two pools, which was great for the kids. Restaurant, room service at night, and $8 cooked eggs for breakfast.

It is certainly not brand new, but it is clean -
1. and out of the CBD which enabled us to have a peace and quietness during the days and nights for rest and sleep. 2. Fast & efficient check in and check out. 3. linkage and calls for taxi service. 4. Easy access to Esplanade walkway for walks, exercise and relaxation. 5. Swimming pool for apartments easily accessible and free for my children, and not crowded. 6 Very convenient apartments for family my size.

The location of the Bay Tree Hotel was perfect for our tansfer from the airport, the boat to Green Island for snorkelling and the Skytrain / Karunda rainforest expererience. The staff at the hotel desk were extremely helpful, polite and efficient. Breakfast by the pool on a nice sunny morning was perfect and added to our holiday. The room was perfect for the 3 nights we stayed, the confortable bed and the well equipped bathroom with walk in shower was very acceptable.

Great location, good facilities, good value for the money. The room came with a small kitchenette and was positioned near a grocery store. There was not a restaurant on premise but the nearby shopping center had a food court. If you cannot haul your own luggage up 2 flights of stairs, then you will need to request a ground floor room. As first time visitors to Mackay we found the location very very handy - having the kitchen and accessories made eating a lot easier. Loved the basket and airer as it made washing easier. We hired a car & best part was the rental agency came to us (we did not need to find a way to them). We enjoyed out stay immensely.

The staff were always very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to look after us. We were given a free upgrade to a double bathroom lux villa to accomodate our family of 6.
