AKA is in a great location to all sites.
Perhaps in the future,having a grocery store that would delivery to the hotel would be very helpful.

An apartment feel in a hotel setting. Very comfortable and welcoming. Lots of space and facilities which made for a luxurious end to a 5 week travelling holiday. great position, quiet- 1 block from the white House and a short walk to the National Mall and close to Metrorail.
The centrality of the accommodation.
I tried to confirm my booking with the hotel from New York the nightbefore we were to arrive. The women who answered the phone at aka wouldnot confirm my reservation without a reservation number. Most unhelpfuland stressful.
The proximity to places of interest.

The convenience, location of the hotel was good, being near the Metro station. The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. I stayed at the AKA for 1 week and am happy for deciding to stay in an apartment-style accommodation rather than a hotel. Having the convenience of a kitchen and washer/dryer was very nice.
Beautiful rooms. Cafe nice. Would have been great to have just some boxes of cereal available in the cafe along with the fruit and pastries...Front desk helpful.
Maid never left wash cloths. We were in 2 bedroom suite and each bathroom needed to wash cloths. We found extras in closet and used those, but they were not replaced. Coffee pot was accidentally left on in kitchen when we left for day. Maid should have caught that and turned it off. This could have been a fire hazard.
The hotel was in a good location.
There should have been drinking cups and mouthwash in the bathroom.

the front desk lady could not get the fax machine to work, so I could not get in fax information for a telephone meeting I had while I was there.
Staff was very friendly. The rooms were spacious and well set up. Everything seemed to be provided to our needs.
Did not like that the elevators down in the parking garage did not take us up to the lobby. Although it is not the fault of the hotel the constant noise from the contruction made it difficult to relax as well as that of the office buildings right next door so that employees could see into your room. A light fixture in the front room had been broken and the broken piece was left on the counter.
Great location, spacious accommodations, clean and liked the fact that it was a well-equipped apartment.
Poor wireless connections and jackhammers running both day and night on the block.

Great location convenient to sites and Metro. 2 bedroom suite is great option for families or multiple couples.
The 2nd bedroom only had a double bed, should have been at least a queen. Breakfast was very limited and was not offered on the weekend. Bring your own soap!
Rooms were excellent. location excellent. Suitable for a long stay only. Room thermostat very difficult to control.
Our rooms were not ready until 4.30pm despite numerous phonecalls in the previous weeks requesting our rooms to be ready on time as we were flying in from Ireland (a 7 hour flight). The receptionist wasn't helpful and couldn't tell us any information. She couldn't even give me my bill at the end of the visit. So I had no idea what I was finally charged. Breakfast is only served Monday to Friday.
