The price was a screaming deal, the location is ideal - rental car recommended but everything is close by. I liked that it was walking distance to the historic old town. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast included waffles, boiled eggs, variety of cereals, hot cooked oatmeal (not the packaged stuff), fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and toast. The rooms come with DVD players and they offer a wide selection of movies free of charge. There is also local transit (bus) station very close to the hotel.

Suite is really comfortable especially for longer stays like 7 nights.The free parking were good. The complimentary coffee/tea in the foyer/reception were really a big benefit. Breakfast is very good.Free WiFi the best! -

Everything! I was blown away with the beauty of the lobby! The staff was wonderful, our room was fantastic, (corner king), the food was good (pulled pork was best I've had in ages!), and the views were gorgeous. I loved how close it was to so many areas of SD. The pool area (with the firepits at night!) looked wonderful, but it was so windy so we didn't stay. I also loved the old pictures throughout the hotel. If you are from SD it was particularly super to see them.

This is a beautiful hotel and are the rooms are super comfortable and
spacious. The location is excellent (right next to the baseball field)
and close to the Gaslamp District. The wifi was fast and there were
heaps of restaurants around and the cinema and good restaurants.

We loved that they were pet friendly, but didn't charge a huge fee like most places do. They gave us a pet gift bag with treats and poop pickup bags for our dog along with a list of pet friendly places to eat in walking distance and doggy day camps in the area. We will DEFINITELY be coming back and recommending this hotel to our friends that have pets. Also we loved the gorgeous bathroom and shower!

Beach Haven Inn though an older facility is basic, clean, comfortable and economic accomodation within steps of the Pacific Beach boardwalk, but at the quieter north end of Crystal Pier. Having a kitchenette and pool deck BBQ makes it easy to have some meals in when not enjoying the many restaurants in PB. The heated pool and hot tub were great.

For the amount we paid we were very pleased. Walking distance to the
beach and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable! When I read the
description of the room it didn't say there was a fridge, microwave
or coffee maker...when we walked in the room there was a full kitchen!
The staff was always walking around and cleaning up even late at night.
One staff member saw us up late and alerted us he had a parking spot
open up front so we got to move our car closer.

The outstanding staff is responsive to individual needs and interacts
with its guests on a personal basis. The room was pleasantly appointed.
The food in the restaurant was consistently good. After we left a small
calendar book in the restaurant, our smiling waiter was waiting near the
elevator with the book when we arrived on our floor. The cleaning
service accomodates individual schedules. High marks all around.
