The hotel was chic and near to all attractions. The room was large, comfortable and well decorated. Desk staff were friendly and gave excellent advice. Very friendly place indeed!! - Good location. Great room.

This is one of the best place's I have ever stayed at. The people were very friendly and nice, the breakfast was outstanding.
The rooms were clean, with microwave, refrig, and coffee pot in every room. This will be the place I will be staying from now on, as I have to come to San Diego, at least every 5 weeks.

I loved being so close to the beach and able to hear the waves at night.
The staff was exceedingly nice & very helpful. When booking, I had
forgotten to mention that I would need a handicapped room. They very
easily changed my room at no additional charge -
The rooms were simple and so confortable. Just a perfect place on the beach!

The hotel was newly renovated and was very nice. The rooms are very spacious and very nicely upgraded. I was impressed with this travelodge. Staff was super friendly and helpful. -
The personnel was very kind, even though the cleaning lady was urging us the day we departure (about 30 min before the check-in)

I remember this as the former Sands from being born and raised in San Diego for 35 years. I picked this location as it was easy access to all locations. Even though it is not in the center of San Diego, it is easy to get attractions because of the proximity to highways.
Our room was facing highway but we didn't have any difficulty in sleeping. It is not noisy at all. There is not much to explore in the area but if you just need a sleep to sleep and you are out whole day, then it is a perfect place.

Charming boutique hotel with lots of charm in a historic building. It's well located in the Gaslight Quarter, close to the Convention Center and with easy access to all the things that make San Diego fun. The rooms are very nice with a fireplace and lots of faux-antiques that made the rooms look more "Victorian" and lots of fun. It had all the modern comforts while giving the impression that we were staying in Wyatt Earp's old San Diego. I'd definitely stay there again.

We had a one night stopover and chose this hotel as it was close to the airport. As I habitually have a cup of tea on arrival at any hotel, I really appreciated the all day tea/coffee /hot chocolate provided free of charge in the lobby. My husband and I were celebrating our silver wedding and booked 3 nights at the hotel,we loved every minute of our stay.
The hotel was amazing,the location was fabulous and we just loved to watch the sunset on the beach.
