We liked the the price of the motel. Cleansingness of it was a huge plus! The staff was completely friendly, security was very nice. The walk from old town and our room, was less then 5 mins. Other reviews had me on edge, especially with roaches. However? Not one time did we see any. Our room was clean, the tv was great, no interruptions, it was all nice. Definitely going again!
Just the toilet in our room, made a noise. But closing the door helped. Other then that, it was nice.

Very good motel. The staff were really friendly and we felt really safe as there was a security men staying all night making sure everything was allright. Also very close to Mexican restaurants. Will recommend and if we go back to San Diego, will definitely go there.
Pretty much everything was great. I had use of a microwave in the room that included vending machines and washers & dryers.Having the option of a microwave really saved me a lot of $ since I was able to cut out restaurants & brew my own coffee!
No wifi as a part of the package. I was not interested in paying an extra charge for something that you would get in an average Backpacker's Hostel.

My last 2 nights I was in a room facing the railroad tracks and the trains woke me up at night. There was some remodeling being done at the motel--this was unexpected.
Location - best, just minute away of Old Town Station, so you can go ANYWHERE! Shopping - Santee trolley, stop Fashion Valley; Old Town park & museums, restaurants, Excursion Trolley stop (Twiggs street) - in walking distance! Sea World - bus 9! Beach - bus 8! Food - bus 8 or 9, stop at Target or Ralphs, MC Donalds, Dennies, JackInTheBox, Wendys, IHop... Bus 30 - Great Plaza Buffet at Garnet street, healthy and yummy! Legoland - bus 30 and at La Jolla\Torrey Pines bus 101 Oceanside to Carlsbad. Hotel - clean, has pool and jakuzzy, security guard at gates. Surprisingly quiet for that location. Has a laundry. Has Internet.
Not much channels for kids, Internet 5 bucks per day.

When you take everything into consideration, this place is a good value for a budget motel. Michael, Raul and Michael were helpful and considerate - they even let me keep my bags in the office after I checked out, since my train wasn't scheduled until 4 pm. It's true the neighborhood it's in leaves a lot to be desired - I wouldn't want to be a lady walking around after dark, but no one bothered me. This isn't a romantic place, but if you're traveling in and out by car you have nothing to worry about. Security was on the gate 24/7 in uniform. If you're looking for good value close to Old Town, then look no further - this is it! Thanks guys! Next time I'm in town I'll be back!

Everything, no complaints felt safe. Its very close to Sea World, and old town San Diego is right around the corner.
The tub in room 108 needs to be replaced but you can still take a decent shower.

The staff was always excellent no matter who we interacted with. Location is less than a block from a major transit center and state historic old town that will take you anywhere worth going. Area was surprisingly safe and we had no issues walking around late at night. Hotel is very clean and I thought was very good for the rock bottom pricing. Air conditioner in our room functioned perfectly. Wouldnt recommend ordering from the italian food place advertised in the rooms though. Only downside.

Good price Everytime I got back to the motel it was always nice & clean the house keeping ladies do a great job (: Eco-friendly the staff was always nice to us I like the fact that they have security so not just anyone can walk in like nothing you have to be a guest in order to able to go in makes me feel safe

I didnt like the security guard there he was rude, some of our friends were waiting for us to check in and parked in the parking lot and he was rude and obnoxious about it and forced them to move. They should get some one more friendly.
The motel was guarded which is very important, pool, jacuzzi, non smoking room was clean, shower was clean, location right next to freeway which if you want a quick exit is perfect. Located a mile away from mall and seaworld.
I read a lot bad reviews all I can say is dont believe everything you hear. Train passes by but not bad at all. Only thing I didn't like was fridge wouldn't work, no complimentary breakfast, at least donuts, cookies, bending machines expensive.

Everything was great!
Room was clean. Water was hot. Bed was comfortable. Location was great. Right off the Pacific Highway with easy access to the city, to the airport, and to all other points in San Diego.
Parking was very tight...like to maximize the spaces available all lots were striped for compact cars, not for standard cares. Also the tv did not work very well. Reported it to staff on first day of stay. By the time I left the tv was still not fixed.
