Location is great for sight seeing. We were able to walk to everything and Metro is half block away if needed. Staff was very friendly and had nice recommendations for places to eat. The staff were courteous and helpful. Liked the Starbucks down on the ground floor. Loved the fact it was above Metro Center and around the corner from the White House, Spy Museum, Crime Museum and some high street brands plus Macy's across the street. Also within walking distance to Chinatown and restaurants. Very central and accessible because of subway below.
Good breakfast. appreciated the fact it had free laundry room use - very important as we were on the road for a month.

The location was right where you would want to be to visit all of
Washington DC's monuments/museums, etc. We were able to walk to
everything between the Capitol and the Lincoln Monument.

The area is not bad at all! There is construction, but you can tell it
is an up & coming area! If you use 200 Florida ave ne you will get
to the hotel no problem. As far as "sketchy" people in the
area I will say this, there is a mix of people in the area & there
are pan handlers all over dc, even by the White House. The metro is

Great hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Gym open 24/7. Bistro serving decent food/drink (a bar and serving Starbucks coffee) that you can eat in, take out or take up to the room.
Location was excellent, walkable distance from Union Station and right next to the NoMa–Gallaudet metro station on the red line, linking straight to the Zoo or just one transfer to get to L'Enfant Plaza station (buses to Dulles airport) and a transfer from Smithsonian and the Mall. Top stay for us in DC. Have been a number of times due to college student visits. This is the best hotel yet- in town for college graduation and all the hotel prices were very high. HGI was the best rate BUT also had great service and quiet room. Ideal location within a block of the red line metro- very easy to get around. Highly recommend! -

The room was spacious and very clean and the hotel provided food facilities as well as pool/gym facilities. Now I look for Hilton Garden Inn hotels whenever I'm out of town and in need of a hotel!

Everything at the the hotel was top of the line, from the staff to the pillows. They gave new gym cloth in order to stay at the fitness center until it was time to go to the airport. Thank you. - Its a beautiful hotel in the heart of Foggy Bottom. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean.

Great location. Park the car and forgot it for a week. With the Metro station right under the hotel, getting around was perfect - never had to worry about parking.
