  Set in stunning grounds, the Petwood Hotel is steeped in history if you are interested in WWII, which we were. Our room was an 'executive double' and very large, with coffee/tea making facilities in the room. The bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished and the bed was comfortable and large, albeit it had a duck down duvet in 30 deg... co mówią ludzie » ree heat and no air conditioning in the room (as it is an old hotel !). Not the hotels fault, we just happened to stay there on one of the hottest su - On arrival we were upgraded to the Weigall Suite which was the size of a small cottage and delightful. Very friendly staff, delicious food and a great ambiance in the hotel. We have a Dambuster connection so the Squadron Bar was of particular interest. The bonus was an antique fair just round the corner from our room! Woodhall Spa is an attractive village with interesting shops and amenities. - I came to Petwood specifically because it was the Officer's Quarters for 617 Squadron. The Squadron Bar is a wonderful tribute and memorial to all members of 617, as are all the many paintings. It is to the owner's great credit t6hat this link with the past is maintained. I shall visit again and tell my like minded friends. The food was very good, the room had a great view and was very comfortable

  Welcome at reception and addressed me by name. Didnt realise had breakfast included as I had to leave when breakfast started I was offered a continental one to take away. All staff were local and understood english as first language fantastic attentive service everytime. Bedrooms were to a beautiful standard plenty of room to use wardrobe and get ... co mówią ludzie » around bed. Selection of hollow fibre and feather pillows on the bed brilliant as I cannot sleep on hollow fibre. - Friendly, helpful staff.

  We stayed just 1 night (visiting for a christening) and we were sorry that we had not stayed an extra night. All staff were efficient, helpful and very friendly. We would happily stay there again if we were in the area.
