  The whole layout is brilliant, the door to the room led straight outside so we could come and go as we pleased. We had dinner in the resturant, the food was good, reasonably priced, service excellent even though they were busy and the whole place had a very friendly atmosphere. - We had a very enjoyable stay at The Stag.   The Inn has a warm friendly atmosphere, the staff are very pleasant and the food is superb, the location is great, being out of the town in a quiet village and just across the road from Mary Ardens house, a house worth seeing!   Lovely quiet location set in the countryside, yet still close to Stratford-upon-Avon. The host, Alan Bailey, was friendly and very helpful. I left something in our room and he came and found me at a tourist attraction he had recommended to give it to me, which was kind. There were tranquil views of garden and fields from all the windows of fields and sometimes horses passing along the lane. I don't - We liked everything. We had a lovely 20 mins walk from Wilmcote train station to get there.. the landscapes in the area are very relaxing. Alan welcomed us and we had a very peaceful and quiet night, with avery good wifi internet connection which was helpful to check some business emails. The breakfast was very good.. and we the second day we had another nice walk to the town to see the shakespeares housesvin stratford.. overall, an amazing weekend!

  The owners of this guest house are really lovely people: warm, welcoming and helpful. On our tight budget and the very short notice with which we booked, we were surprised at our luck when we were shown to our beautiful room with ensuite. Don't fill up on fruit and cereal: the full English hot meal that follows is a treat and served with a smile. The w - We have enjoyed a three night stay at this guest house. Our hosts were very pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and had everything we needed, and the breakfasts are first class. We took the hop on, hop off bus to visit the Shakespeare Houses and found this very convenient. A 20 minute drive takes you to Warwick Castle which is well worth a visit. We ate in two very good restaurants in Stratford, The Umah, an Indian, and Thai Kingdom. We really had an excellent time.
