The setting was great: very near the shops but it felt nicely out of the town and was very quiet indeed. It was a very cosy and romantic place, and the staff were fantastic. next morning and left so didn't make use of the pub etc. The

Very friendly staff with good food. The breakfast was delicious but beware of the portion size (huge). The coaching inn is in the centre of Devizes. Ask to see the cellars as they were part of a tunnel system that ran all around Devizes in the old days. Room No. 4 is said to be one of the most haunted in England.

Unfortunately the best one can say about most hotels is that service was indifferent.. The Old Bell set the standard. They could not have done it better. Obviously thought and a lot of hard work to achieve what they have. The restauraunt was outstanding as well. We are normally a tough bunch to please!

The Horse Guards lived up to its high rating...The room was spacious..spotlessly clean, warm, and comfortable.
Food was good and reasonably priced and hosts were welcoming and friendly.
Lovely quiet spot with country views( and rabbits!)....A perfect spot to relax and unwind and only a few minutes from Tetbury and Malmesbury......IWe absolutely recommend the Horseguards. A+stay.

Salisbury is a splendid city. There are lots of historic buildings, and the local people are all very friendly and helpful with directions.
