Beit Hall was close to the Royal Albert Hall which is what I wanted. It was good value for money as breakfast was included in price.
I don't think I would like to stay there for longer than a couple of nights but for a short break it was ideal.

Meet by friendly and helpful staff, room was comfortable , clean and well maintained. The short walk from one biulding to another was well worth it as the breakfast on offer was superb. Would recommend and happily return. The location is brilliant and easy access to parks musuems and KensingtonHigh Street.
Other reviewers have raved about the location of Beit Hall and I agree: it can't be beaten. As well as the great museums, it is 3 minutes walk to Hyde Park and 10 minutes walk to a collection of reasonable restaurants at South Kensington. I stayed for 6 nights, so the price of £5 for wifi for the duration of my stay was very good value.
Although my room was on the 4th (top) floor, it overlooked the quad. From late afternoon until after 11pm, the noise from the crowd drinking at the bar in the quad was loud, particularly on nights with milder temperatures. I would warn anyone wishing to sleep before 11pm not to get a room overlooking the quad. Breakfast was substantial but as for all massed-produced food it was stodgy and bland. However there was fresh fruit salad each day.

Tap water described as 'not fit for drinking'. I felt I had to keep replenishing my drinking water bottle from supply in reception in order to boil the kettle. Advice as to whether boiling the tap water in the bedroom would have rendered it fit for drinking would help.. Bulky key to carry around outside.
Best location for proms and visiting
Convenient location (direct subway line to Heathrow), close to Hyde park, etc. Great value and location for reasonable money which is not a very easy thing to find in London. Staying at a university campus has its own advantages e.g. we had an extremely interesting conversation at breakfast. And there's a university restaurant with great prices nearby.
University campus has its own drawbacks as well - Friday evening was pretty loud as our windows were overlooking the patio. But by 11.30 p.m. everything was quiet. Initially it was not very easy to find the room. The reception desk lady at our check-out on August 30 wasn't all that friendly.

Location, location, location. I was on business nearby conference, but would be ideal for tourists wanting to do South Kensington Museums, Harrods and Hyde Park. Excellent breakfasts for the price, and clean, comfortable rooms too.
It may be worth the extra to pay for an en suite room. Not luxurious by any means: functional, but it functions!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Cheap and quiet accommodation in central London. Not too loud and crowded, for young and old. Super variety for breakfast, though the breakfast hall can be crowded. Food was super.
I have stayed at Beit Hall before and this time found same high standard of cleanliness and efficiency. Bar facilities upgraded, still as friendly. Very convenient for sight seeing and great value for money.

The location is great, near the natural and history museum, science museum and so on. And it is near the underground. The breakfast is good.

loved the location, and the fact that it had good transport links [ bus and tube] into central london. staff were friendly, and the room was spotless. good breakfast and lots of it, with an interesting mix of people. have already recommended it to everyone i know!
no tv in room, so you had nothing to do in it if you didnt want to sit amongst strangers in the lounge. bit of a treck to the breakfast room, and some people may not like the 'find a space and sit with strangers', which i enjoyed.

A room in Imperial College London ! Excellent location , right next door to the Royal Albert Hall where I went for the Proms , small room overlooking main road with crispy white clean sheets , kettle with complimentary tea and coffee and a free bottle of water . Though small , the room was perfectly comfortable ! Wardrobe and a sink with complimentary shampoo and shower gel . I choose a room with shared bathroom and it was super clean , the shower with plenty of hot water . It has a 24 hours reception run by students , very helpful ( asked for extra pillows and more milk ) 20 minutes walking accross Hyde Park from Paddington Train Station , ten minutes walking to the Victoria and Albert Museum ( amazing !). Your breakfast is in a large canteen in a building accross the road .Very well signed to Breakfast Room , cross the road and follow the signs , up the stairs ! Plenty of options for breakfast : you get five items if cooked English Breakfast and the rest of Continental ( toast, croassaint, fruit , yougurt, cereals, and a self service drinks machine with cappucino, hot chocolate, tea ...coffee) Basic quality but excellent for the price I paid : £48 for room and breakfast . Im glad I did not take into consideration the reviews with negatives about this place , its perfect if in a budget and in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in London. Will definitely use it again :-)

Central London location, close to Hyde Park and Royal Albert Hall, although not that close to any tube station. I had a single room with ensuite, which was nice. Can access rooms via a lift, which is good. There is a walk to breakfast, but not a problem. Liked the communal atmosphere - the uni bar is at the bottom of the courtyard and people sit around on the grass enjoying a beverage.
Room was a little warm with only a desk fan and a window which didn't open far, although to be fair, London was a lot hotter during my stay than it normally is.

Excellent location - I needed to be at the Royal Albert Hall and its literally right next door. It was good basic accommodation at a reasonable cost - just what I needed
A wall /wardrobe mirror that wasn't in the bathroom would have been useful (for when using hair dryer etc)

1)The temperature in the room was OK with the fan operating but with the extreme temperatures over the last few days I would imagine that the room would be too hot to sleep. The window was very limited on its opening and it may have helped, there was a fence outside so you couldn't have fallen out. 2)Would have liked additional pillows.(should have asked) 3)It would have been nice to have a TV.
The room was spacious and clean with a desk and a good shower. I would recommend this place, but would list out the flaws first.
There was no TV in the room, so spent my evenings catching up on doing some work. The bed springs were sticking through the matress a bit. The shower room tap had a sticker over it saying"do not drink the water". A bit weird if you ask me to have the imperial college of london halls of residence not to have drinking water in the rooms?

You can't drink the Ester and they only give you one waterbottle. Hard to find the first time.
