  We had a perfect stay at the Apex International Hotel. Our room was fantastic with excellent views of the castle and was very clean and comfortable. It is 20 minutes away from the main tourist attractions (the Castle, Whiskey Museum, Princess Street). There is a parking near by (literally the building close to the hotel).   We paid the minimum and got the maximum in comfort with a freely given upgrade. The staff were very welcoming and were pleased that we were pleased. The bedroom was clean, bright and well set out given the limited space. The bathroom, whilst also small had everything you need and unlike many higher rated accommodation I've stayed in hot water was available at all times and at a constant temp. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially to the many foreign visitors there for the festival.
