We stayed here for one night taking 2 rooms and enjoyed our stay here.
We had 2 rooms, one of which was a good size, had an excellent tv and
had good views of the loch. The other room was slightly disappointing as
there were no bedside tables and the room was next to the road which
meant it was noisy. I would therefore say that not all of the rooms are
of the same standard but perhaps they are priced slightly differently –
I can’t remember.
Lochside is in a good location, on the shores of a loc. wszystkie opinie »
The staff were extremely welcoming. the rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The ensuite was imaculate and the shower powerful. The view from room 7 was simply breathtaking. There was a smart TV in the room too, which was an added bonus, with a very wide choice of channels and perfect picture. The breakfast was the best we had in Scotland.
We have been there for easter holidays; the hotel is in front of the
loch long, 2km of walk from the near railway station and tarbet..Many
beautiful walks starts in arrochar. The guest house is very clean and
confortable. The staff is always ready to help. The breakfast is very
rich and tasty. My only regret is that we stayed only one night!!.
Wonderful friendly and helpful staff.
Cooked breakfast was great.
Great view from the Bar (and outside seating areas); Meals where reasonable priced and good quality.
We loved the discount voucher we were given to purchase meals from the adjoining Bar.
We were in Room 3 (roadside) and did not hear any traffic noise.
Lovely room with stunning views right on the edge of the Loch. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Helpful unloading area in front of reception to unload bags. Breakfast very good and again sat looking at amazing views. We would definitely stop here again if back in this area.

EVERYTHING :) ... The breakfast was amazing each morning, room was bigger than what I expected as it was just me. The location of the guest house is ideal to visit many places and views are amazing. Local people are very friendly and welcoming aswell.
Everything in Lockside Guest House was perfect: nice and clean room,
very friendly, helpfull and professional staff, good food, lovely place
to stay and beautiful view. Thank you ever so much! Will recommend
Lockside Guest House to everyone.
Very nice location near the sea and the room is just lovely! There is also a pub next to the hotel where you get £10 off the food (with massive portions). The view is amazing and so relaxing with clean room. Will stay next time again!.
This is a good small hotel. Views of Loch Long are as good as those of Loch Lomond a couple of miles away and at half the price - Good basic meals in the pub next door - under same management. Newly refurbished room done very nicely.
The location at the water's edge was great. We were very pleased with the room with large windows and a stunning view of the lake and mountains. The manager was very welcoming and made our visit a very pleasant one.
Great little hotel. Super friendly staff. Our room had a wonderful view
of Loch Long and the mountains. Quite and private. The breakfast was
very nice in a glass enclosed room with the view of the lake. Fantastic.
Everything was beautiful, modern and really well decorated. This place feels like a boutique hotel. We instantly felt relaxed walking into this room. Lovely and huge breakfast. Good location.

I appreciated the view in particular. The bedroom was decorated with style. It was peaceful and quiet, just what we needed.
The staff were great. Food was lovely. Location brilliant for walking and visiting Glasgow. Rooms clean and comfortable.
The location was amazing and only an hour or so away from other cities or neighbouring towns just as picturesque.
The stunning location on Loch Long, the friendly helpful staff and the facilities that the guest house provides.

Good breakfast and an extremely pleasant and helpful lady running the place.
Great newly renovated rooms! amazing views! friendly staff! Tasty Breakfast.
Particularly like the friendliness of the staff. They made us feel at home.
The rain!.
Driving on very loose and think bed of pebbles to additional parking area. I thought I was going to get bogged.
drunken yobs crashing in at all hours in the morning waking people up.
Be aware with letsbookhotel.com: they take your card details, but not take the
payment. We had big problem to solve this situation when we arrived to
Lockside Guest House. We thought that we have paid our stay already. And
what was the most horrible thing letsbookhotel.com blamed Lockside Guest House
about it. Not good at all.
Given price and location cannot be faulted.
The bathroom did not have enough space to put toiletries.
not much..only comment needs more tables and chairs on wonderful deck.
Practically every door in the place squeaked. Annoying.
Breakfast spoiled everyday because bacon was hardly cooked. I suspect it was done in the microwave.
just one night....
N/a.
It is a little bit noisy.
Nothing.
Nothing !.
The double bed was a bit on the small side.
Lack of chair or somewhere to put my clothes/luggage at other side of bed from stool at dressing table
Under saucer for mug to save marking bedside cabinet
Steak pie in restaurant was tough.
Nothing in particular but we noticed that the car park and front
roadside entrances were not cleared of litter and perhaps the breakfast
fridge could be re-arranged to improve the appearance and the fruit bowl
restocked daily.
The room was very hot, a fan or aircon would of been good. Also we didnt get there will 7pm and they had stopped serving food.
Nothing.
One minor thing was that my room had a shower but not a bath, which after cycling all day would have been preferred.
Couple of mix ups with the breakfast.
Nothing!!!.
The pub next door had a gala on the first night this went onto 2 am. We were warned about this by Diane.
Room above creaked a bit too much. Noise could put people off though this could be fixed for the future.
The bedroom floor could have been cleaner, didn't look or feel as though it had been cleaned for a while.
The rooms have very little noise insulation and we did not sleep very well because of that.
Even though the surroundings are really clean, the lake next to it is pretty dirty with quite a lot of rubbish laying aroung.
Our family room's extra sofa cum bed was not working so we had to move the next day in to two rooms but staff helped and managed to do their best. The restaurant used to close very early 7:30 pm and there were no other restaurants open in the village after 9pm.
The Guesthouse does not really look like on the photos, nevertheless it is very nice.
Room a bit too small.
There is nowhere to eat in the area, except the bar next door, if you stay longer than 2 days there is literally nothing to do, except going for a walk, but the weather is not always good.
Had to ask for more tea/coffee/milk for the room. Minor issue that was immediately sorted out.
Walls seemed thin between rooms, could hear the TV on in the next room.
