Nikki and Steve were amazing hosts --- they made us feel right at home! The location is perfect, right in the middle of Harpenden and close to anything you could possibly want. We even walked from the train station. The rooms were newly decorated, the beds and showers were amazing, having the pub downstairs was great for local flavor and relaxing,

Immediate attention by friendly staff on arrival, We were part of a Christmas party booking staying overnight. Although busy our meals were all served together and the food was hot and extremely well presented. Our room was wonderful with everything we needed. My husband especially enjoyed the full english breakfast to next morning. Will definitely return and hopefully stay for longer to enjoy the town.

I had read reviews and I wondered whether it could live up to expectations. It did more than this. I enjoyed the peaceful location and took advantage of the close proximity to 'The Downs' to have a Sunday morning walk. Needed the walk to burn off the extra calories from the excellent breakfast. Carmel was wonderful. She took time out to talk to her guests and had a good rapport with everyone.

Very warm welcome by the two members of staff - one of them went the extra mile and printed a map and directions to a wedding venue in the middle of nowhere!
Room was ready by noon which allowed us to change for wedding.
Whilst no restaurant there was a very useful "kitchen in a cupboard" with some nice touches - coffee, orange juice, crisps, microwave, wine glasses etc.
Plenty of parking.
The "chambermaid" was a hoot!

Enjoy the hundreds of years old wooden quirky White Hart for what it is. It is not a modern concrete square hotel. You will be pushed to find a flat floor upstairs as the oak beams have bowed with time. Very nice staff and helpful, always most busy. Nice selection of meals, cooked correctly and serviced well. Nice to visit again and again..
