The staff (in particular Thomas) was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. I particularly liked the fact that there was a Nespresso coffee machine in my room which made excellent coffee. Being an early riser it was a pleasure to be able to have real coffee first thing in the morning. Also fantastic location. - the hotel is very comfortable in a central location wlth all the facilities needed.

The hotel is surrounded by many bars and restaurants, very close to the
lake, away from the train station about 20 minutes walking, the staffs
are very friendly and helpful, they assisted us in arranging the city
tours, and also bed sheets were clean as well as the bathroom. The
breakfast was good and restaurant offer a good meal during evening such
as fajitas and Burger, if I visit Zurich again California Hotel will be
my choice definitely.

Excellent facilities, good clean rooms, friendly staff who spoke English (sadly I do not speak german) and a good location for getting into the centre of Zurich and the Bahnhof (tram outside the door - tickets available from reception).
