  This hostal was amazing. The room was small, but spacious. It had a tv with cable. You can book a two person room for very cheap. Between me and my friend we only paid €25 a night. That means we each paid €12.50 per night. It was very worh it! We had our own bathrooms and the beds where very comfortable.   The staff was extra polite, very helpful and nice. Internet was ok (maybe it should be a little bit faster). Breakfast is average, nothing special. Beds confortable, the hotel is small, but this is not an destiantion where guests stay in rooms. The place is run by a very friendly Spanish lady, who lives on site and who helped us out with some food the first day, and directions to the airport very early in the morning (before 6 am the metro does not run, but there are night buses leaving from Plaza de Cibele - Great location walking distance to attractions, metro and tourist info office. Friendly staff (wish we could have spoken more, but our Spanish is limited and their English is limited). Clean rooms, bath and kitchen facilities.

  We stayed one night at the Plaza Mayor and wished our stay in Madrid was longer. The hotel is an old traditional building with charming features. Our room was a good size with everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable. and everything was spotlessly clean. It was so close to the wonderful Plaza too and near many good restaurants. Easy transportation possibilities from the airport (one bus and 4 metro stops).

The location of the apartments is absolutely the best in Madrid. It has onsite parking with direct elevator access to the apartments/rooms - a rarity with many apartments in Europe.
